We recently stayed at this hotel and had a generally positive experience, with a few things worth noting depending on your preferences. The property is located in an emerging area that initially feels a bit industrial, but we quickly felt that it was safe and conveniently situated. It's within easy walking distance to both the ferry (free) and metro, which made getting around easy. There were also several good restaurants nearby, which added to the overall convenience. One of the standout features was the staff - consistently friendly, welcoming and helpful. The all-day breakfast offering was a great touch. The hotel itself is clean, with high-tech check-in and room access that made the stay feel seamless and efficient. The room, however, was a bit unexpected. While the bathroom was quite spacious and well-designed, the bedroom area was noticeably COMPACT - just large enough to accommodate a queen-sized bed. That said, the room was thoughtfully laid out with good lighting and practical storage solutions, including under-bed space for luggage, which helped. Overall, this was a solid choice given that we were in Amsterdam during the popular Tulip Festival and most rooms had doubled in price. After we got over the 'initial shock' we were very happy with the choice.

Perfectly located for walking almost anywhere. The happy hour, cheese trolley, and breakfast were lovely amenities included in the cost. This really made the stay 5-star not having to worry about the usual high costs of hotel amenities. The room was cozy and comfy. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

Love the history and character of this hotel. The service is incomparable and the staff is amazing. Bedding was very comfortable. Jansz restaurant was wonderful as was the Pulitzer Bar. I do wish our room had better lighting but that’s a minor issue. Great location! We hadn’t intentionally planned to be there on King’s Day and it was a bit overwhelming. The staff was helpful in informing us on what to expect and made us feel very comfortable with available services when we wanted to take a break from the outside. Highly recommend the Pulitzer!

Hotel Amrâth was the perfect hotel for a first stay in Amsterdam! It is in an excellent location since it is within walking distance of Central Station and many of the key sites and shopping areas. The hotel was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Excellent location. Quiet neighborhood location. Steps away from the bus, grocery store, various shops and restaurants. The hotel was very unique. Our room was amazing and had a waterfront view. We enjoyed watching all of the boats going by and locals swimming and participating in water sports. The lobby area was warm and inviting and always had people socializing. One evening we decided to make something in our kitchen but couldn’t figure out how to use the oven. I went to the lobby to ask the staff how to use it and they came to our room to show us. I appreciated him going out of his way to help us. Awesome customer service! I would highly recommend staying here!!
