"Lovely property, very convenient for Windermere area. It was handy that all three bedrooms have their own ensuite. It was lacking a little in kitchen utensils if you wanted to properly self-cater. There were some odd little items missing like hand soap in the bathrooms and only one toilet roll in each room, but otherwise clean tidy. It was particularly hot when we were there, so a fan or two would have helped. The door closers could do with adjusting - a couple of the doors slammed loudly if...

"This is a lovely old hotel built in 1869 for passengers arriving at the Keswick Railway Station The bedroom was clean and bright and the dining area was modern but in keeping with the old building as was the bar area. The main entrance was wide open when we arrived but later they had closed the doors it revealed the beautiful original revolving door. The only things I would say was the main hallway and stairs carpets had started to show signs of wear and could maybe need replacing and there is obviously no air conditioning in the rooms being an old building but we were provided with a fan but we cannot fault anybody the staff especially Ben & Emma who served us in the bar area and Lily who was our waitress for breakfast. Will definitely stay again if we are up in the area."
