Since you asked, I'm going to make the effort to give you a proper review. My wife and I are world travelers and have stayed at many fine 4 and 5 star hotels over the last 36 years. Even though we live on Long Island, I booked a couple of nights with you at the Allegria because my oldest daughter lives in Long Beach and is a July 4th baby. I thought it'd be easier to spend time with her if we grabbed a room close to her place. The hotel looks nice and is staffed well. For the money I spent with you, I have to tell you that I didn't care for my stay there. The room wasn't appointed well. No room for either a table or a desk and chair. In fact....NO CHAIR! When I woke up this morning I wanted to have breakfast in my room. You don't offer that, which is mind blowing. So I went to the restaurant and people on the 2nd floor by the elevator warned me away! Don't eat there today unless you have 3 hours to eat was one of the comments. Someone else said that you guys gave your head chef the day off (on the 4th of July no less-who does that?!!) and the staff were struggling and screwing everything up. So my 1st impression was not a good one. I'm not going to add to my list of complaints even though I easily can. I'm sure you get where I'm going with this. I'll end with this. When I was a teenager back in the 70's, I worked at the Lido Bch Hotel, now apartments. The level of service there was intensely good and we all gave our utmost effort to keep it that way.
