There is not enough to say about this property! First - CRYSTAL was AMAZING at “Check In” and “Check Out”! Second, hotel does NOT do dogs - THANK YOU - especially to those of us who are allergic to animals. Third, hotel room and bathroom EXTREMELY CLEAN - felt like I was at the Ritz Carlton! Moreover, large television and great lighting in the room. Finally, INDEPENDENTLY OWNED - not a chain - it’s in a rural area which made this an even more pleasant SURPRISE because usually in the rural areas, hotels are not fit for human living standards. This will DEFINITELY be my stay when in EAST TEXAS - Gilmer Area. Please note - hotel is GREAT - you may want to eat in GILMER, TEXAS - “La Finca” or head to Longview, Texas for the “Fishermen’s Market” Restaurant. No great eating locations unless you are okay with fast food restaurants. “Until We Meet Again” “Our Miss” Brooks

This was a great place to stay. Everything was clean, well maintained, and staff was nice. Only slight downside was the beds are a bit too firm for our liking, however some people prefer that. I would recommend it to anyone staying in the area especially with the lack of options for the area. Most places in Lone Star and Daingerfield are the slums. This was a nice diamond to find.

These were some of the cleanest rooms we have ever stayed in. The only reason not giving 5 stars is that the single room had a very strong stale cigarette smell (even though non-smoking) on checking in. But, after running the a/c for about an hour, it helped. Beds and linens super comfy. The kitchen has a two-burner stove and nice sized fridge/freezer, but bring your own pots/pans if you are needing this. Overall, this is a very good value for the price (in cleanliness and comfort) and would definitely recommend!
