John, the manager, was outstanding and really helpful. All the staff were really nice and welcoming. The hotel itself is as advertised, clean and a great concept. Location is great.

I didn’t like that the room didn’t have enough ventilation. It was really small could barely fit with 2 pple in the room. No hairdryer. Similar size rooms you would find in Asia but you pay in pounds which is the highest currency in the world.

First and foremost, I was unaware that this was a compact hotel I should’ve read the description thoroughly. I would totally recommend this hotel for a single individual or a couple. However, I was traveling with my husband and my 16 -year-old son upon entering the room. I was in shock on how small it was 150 ft.²,I could not even open my suitcase and lay it flat on the floor the shower was see-through, which was not going to work Seeing that I was sharing a room with my son. The air conditioner was not working. It was extremely hot in the room and we are not allowed to open the windows, I brought this to the attention of the staff, and they were accommodating and able to move us into a slightly larger room the following day ,upon entering the slightly larger room the following day, the air condition was working great and the way that the bed was situated it was blocking the shower glass so this was a better option for a family that does not want to shower in front of each other . The room air condition that wasn’t working was on the ground floor room number six , a friend of mine stayed in this exact room a week prior and had the same complaint of the air conditioning, not working, the OK room that we were moved into was 1006 on the first floor. It was still extremely small but doable for a party of three since we were not spending much time in the room.. again, I want to give praise for the staff helping us make the best of the situation. They were very accommodating.

Very interesting types of rooms. I suggest that if you are traveling with family maybe book two rooms. There is absolutely no privacy in the bathroom. Overall we really enjoyed this hotel and the location. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The location of this place is great! 12 minute walk to the British Museum, 15 minute walk to Chinatown for incredible dim sum, 7 minute walk to the theater district. half a block from the Holborn underground station and a straight 50 minute ride back to Heathrow for like $6. Faster and a lot cheaper than the ride share it took to get there.

The property was in a fantastic location near theaters and restaurants. My stay was only 3 days and I thought the room with no window would not be a problem since I was out most of the day. I will definitely stay at the Z again, but I would prefer a window. It just makes a difference!

We had a lovely stay at this hotel, very easy distance to theatre land. Only negative was the breakfast area / reception were the same area so was a bit chaotic with guests standing around with suitcases causing a bottleneck when trying to have a relaxing breakfast

Good location to visit plays and musicals by foot. The bed was excellent for us (we like a firm mattress). The room setup could be better. Virtually no space to put ones clothes and the space between bed and toilet, with a sliding door where, at the right angle, you can even see into the bathroom, is a little too close for comfort ;) Our room had a kettle built into a little tray that also held mugs and tea/coffee. However the TV board this was set on had no power outlet nearby, so we had to carry this whole board around the room to heat the water. So can't give more than 3 stars for the room. Everything else was fine.

Stayed in a family room (2 bunk queen beds). Bathroom glass was not frosted enough - no privacy. Air conditioning wasn’t working properly. Shower water leaked out of ‘bathroom’. We knew it would be tight but with the AC not working the top bunk was extremely warm especially since it was enclosed in glass). Additionally only 3 outlets in the room, could not charge our devices conveniently. No outlets for top bunk. What was nice were the separate TVs for each bunk, the location was central and there was a nice free happy hour offered to guests. However, since AC did not work we opened the window and it was extremely noisy all night,
