I recently had a highly disappointing experience at Meridian Inn & Suites Lloydminster. From the moment we checked in, the customer service was anything but friendly. The staff seemed disinterested and unhelpful, making us feel unwelcome right from the start. Due to the poor service and uncomfortable conditions, we decided to check out early, staying only one night instead of the two we had booked. At checkout, the hotel assured us they would refund the cost of the second night. However, when Expedia followed up on our behalf, the hotel flatly refused to honor the promised refund. This level of unprofessionalism and lack of integrity is unacceptable. I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel. There are plenty of other options where your business will be appreciated and respected. Save yourself the trouble and book elsewhere.

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate early check in due to the hotel is busy and we don't offer a pet friendly room. It's on the website that pet is not allowed. For future, please consider reading the hotel policy & reservation policy before finalizing your booking.

The internet was not working after 6PM at all. I complained to the management but they say internet is very slow because all guests are using internet. Breakfast was terrible. I expect my money back.

The blanket on the bed was ridiculously thin, about the same thickness as the sheets, and there was no extra blanket in the room. Woke up completely freezing. Other than that, it seemed very minimalist and plain, but clean and seemed fairly new. If the room included a functional blanket I would have given it a better review!

I really like the location, easy to find and close to stores and eateries. The only negative is there are no USB charging ports in the room. Most places I’ve stayed have some in the bed lamps, alarm clocks, or by the desk so I didn’t bring a block. Otherwise, it’s a nice place to stay.

I always stay here whenever I get the chance because it’s clean and quiet. This time my room was not clean, behind the toilet had a whole bunch of dirt, under the sink also had a ton of build up, the mirror was marked up gross, dirt build up on the floorboards. Not my best stay

Could hear the people next to me and above me constantly. Only one out of the four plug-ins beside the bed worked. The bed was very worn in. They only have two thin blankets on the bed.

I stayed here for one night, the check in went okay. The lobby was dirty and the couch in the waiting area had a big wet spot on it. The front desk staff were nice enough to take a cash deposit, which I did appreciate as I didn’t have my husbands credit card. Anywho, when we checked into our room, I noticed it wasn’t very clean but I was tired and my son, who’s 2, was tired and cranky as well. My son had a bleeding nose overnight, it wasn’t a large amount but there were spots on the sheets. When I went to check out, I waited 10 minutes as there was no staff at the front desk and watched a maintenance man/houskeeper stare at me as he walked back and forth. When the worker finally came she informed that she had to do an inspection of our room. Upon her return she informed that she can only give me $100 back and that due to the sheets they’re keeping $200. Her manager told her to do this. My issue is this, I was never informed of this “policy” when I checked in, there was no way for myself to contact this manager, and this policy is discriminatory to children. I would not recommend this place, especially if you’re First Nation and have children. At the time of writing this review, I have not heard back from the General Manager of this hotel. I sent him a complaint after I checked out and there has been no courtesy on his end to at least give a response.
