Great location just a short walk from everything. Free parking close by, clear entry instructions, lovely big room, comfy bed. Will definitely use again!

Great location never seen any staff but no need to
Great little ensuite double room. Comfortable bed and nice powerful shower. Everything is done remotely, but no trouble at all, although THE ROOM KEY IS ON THE TABLE IN YOUR ROOM AND NOT ON THE TABLE IN THE HALL!!!
Absolutely perfect cottage for two. Close to all amenities & the heritage railway (the reason for our visit) but completely dark & totally silent of an evening for a great nights sleep in a really comfy bed. Excellent wi-fi signal. The only things missing were a grill pan in the oven & instructions on how to work the heating. Loved our stay & would definitely return. Thankyou.
great room but not very disabled friendly as there are steps up to the door and then there are stairs to most of the rooms I think we were the only people in the Lodge so it was very quiet I did buy bleach as the sink drain smelt a bit we had a shower and bath in the room and we had a lovely sitting room to watch telly and there were plenty of plug sockets in both rooms we would stop there again as it wasn't far to walk into the town center or most of the attractions

Comfortable, warm and well-placed.
My room was lovely and it was warm, great shower and a comfortable bed. The Hall Street car park was full when I arrived but luckily there was free parking in the road opposite and I couldn't spot any parking restrictions. A noisy group disturbed my early night on Saturday but not for long and consideration for other guests is suggested by the owners.
Reasonably priced. Convenient location. Great communication. Easy check-in. Clean and well-appointed.
Yes - there are 10-12 steps to the front door and more steps inside if you are on the 2nd floor - so it is not accessible.
The steps and front court yard could use some weeding but it was not overgrown.
We enjoyed our stay.
Entrance courtyard needed care and attention. The room had a small settee that needed cleaning. The toilet and shower was dark and not inviting. The bed was comfortable. We had difficulty with the electronic front lock. The fob did not work and the combination code did not work after initial opening. The car park next door in hall street was full for over 24 hours. We only stayed the one night and booked another hotel for our second night.

The room was comfortable and clean. Llangollen is a great location and the hotel was well situated.
However, we had an issue with the room due to a message not getting to the owner from Expedia. He was not helpful and wanted to charge us £5 to resolve this minor issue. The room was not tidied while we were out.
No dining options at all. Not even a decent cup of coffee in the morning. We had to drive to get breakfast in before 9.

No hot water!
First impressions: location excellent, in town centre, close to everything.
Remote check-in, instructions easy to follow. Bonus of parking permit.
Upon entry noticed the hallway smelled musty. However the room was larger than expected and nicely decorated.
Bathroom needs some maintenance. Shower head should be replaced, very tatty and full of mold. Toilet and sink not secure and quite wobbly. The bathroom was wet for our entire stay too, after the first use, due to poor design. Floor sopping.
Good night's sleep, room quiet, dark and bed comfortable.
Had an issue, we woke Saturday morning and no hot water for a shower. Had to boil the kettle to wash in the sink. Came back from a hike at 3.30pm and still no hot water! Contacted the owner/ manager via email, they said was unusual, but unfortunately had no rooms to allow us to use, as fully booked. Offered a credit note, this wasn't useful as probably won't return to Llangollen.
We waited another 2 hours till 5.30pm, but still not hot. Ended up washing once again in the sink using the kettle.
Not ideal especially when youve been hiking.
Quite disappointing, on what otherwise would of been a nice weekend break in a lovely town.
A very well thought of hotel, lovely room with separate bath and walk in shower exceptionally clean, will definitely stay here again, was no reception or anyone greeting you but this did not bother me,and there was a free car parking permit in the room which you would not get anywhere else where there is no hotel car park
The room was love. Great bed.the bath & shower was brilliant. We would stay again.

Fantastic location
Central location with all the restaurants and pubs within 5mins walking! Room was spacious but Building little bit outdated though overall we had a good couple of nights there!
Great location with long stay car park next door. Only small gripe is that radiators were left on in August with windows open. I turned them off straight away, but this seems so wasteful

You asked
Room smelt damp throughout stay..slug in hand soap holder one night.
Please can I complain about my stay at Greenbank Lodge? I am asthmatic and the room was damp musty and the bathroom was mouldy. All my clothes smelled of mould afterwards and I barely slept. Since leaving I’ve had a chest infection and am on antibiotics having got ill whilst staying there.

Good central location but needs a bit of TLC.
The location of the lodge is great, very central. We didn't realise until after booking that there was no car parking at the lodge - you have to go to pay and display down the street. However it is free due to the car park pass provided (after check in which is 4pm). There were a few niggles about the room (Room 2) - the TV in bedroom didn't work, the towel rail in the bathroom didn't work, no extractor fan and room was generally a bit cold. The management said they would look into this following my email on our first night, but I had no reply after that, other than a fan heater was provided when we got back to the room. There is no one on site - the owner is remote. The room was OK, a bit dated but lots of space having a separate living room to the bedroom. Could do with a bit of an update.
Lovely room, very accommodating service, with a fantiastic location.

Looked attractive, interior was stylish with a modern vibe, ad the owner was pleasant. The lack of car parking was an irritant (I was given a pass to the local town car park a 5 minute walk away). The lowest points were the quality of the bed (it sagged like the eyes of a 80-year old, to the discomfiture of my back and neck), and the breakfast (the grilled tomato was cold, and both my poached egg and coffee were tepid). (Really). That breakfast was not worth a tenner.
