While some holiday rentals can feel sparse and functional, in contrast it is obvious that a lot of thought and care has been put into making the cottage feel like a home. "We stayed at this hotel for the last night of our 4 day South-North Wales road trip. After spending 3 full days trekking, sightseeing and driving, it was a perfect end to a brilliant road trip. The hotel was welcoming and super comfortable and the spa experience before we headed home on our final morning was a perfect relaxing finish. The backdrop of the hotel was stunning and the grounds were perfectly maintained and postcard pretty. Would absolutely have no hesitation recommending this hotel."

However lunch was excellent in respect of food and service, There was some noise from the bar and lounge area in the late evening which disturbed some of our sleep and we were astounded to see a bible had been thrown on a roof overlooking reception.łmnh"

"Beautiful location, lovely village and park across the road. Very safe for children to walk around the village. Though mine just stayed in the park. The staff at this hotel are very well mannered, attentive and successful in what they do regardless of obvious pressures. A bit disappointed there wasn't any danishes available before breakfast had finished at the early time of 930am. Plenty of cereals, toast and jams with plenty of coffee that you can takeaway"

"My husband and I had a great stay here for our anniversary weekend. The room was great value compared to other local hotels, ideal location in the centre of Shrewsbury and staff were very friendly and welcoming. The discount off food and drink in the pub was a nice bonus! The super king double room was great and had almost everything we needed. It was a little run down in places but was mainly just a quirky older building which was fun. We didn’t have any issues with noise, there was just a bit of noise from people walking outside towards the end of the night but nothing crazy. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to others."

"Fabulous from start to finish! Warm welcome from owner despite being an extremely busy evening. Room was beautifully decorated. Tastefully Welsh 😊 We ate in the very well maintained, pretty garden and the food did not disappoint. Slept extremely well, good quality beds and bedding. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Fab find, will visit again when going to the lake."
