"It was a lovely location and cool air con to keep cool in this heat wave. The hotel at 1st looked clean and maintained, until you go to your room. It was a standard twin room, was ok clean bedding ,but wobbly broken side table kept banging by head. Bathroom far too tiny, and bath was far too high ..."

"Although now a slightly faded glory, this is still my favourite hotel in Liverpool. Right near the centre, and an easy walk from Lime Street station. The rooms are large, and the grand salon is magnificent. Far fewer staff now, but friendly and helpful."
