Really, comfortable, nice room, staff great at check-in but had limited chance to sample anything else as 1 day trip and away early. Getting to Liverpool and back more of a challenge than expected on public transport, especially journey back after 11 so maybe budget for a cab if that's your plan.
Very comfortable bed, room was nicely dark and peaceful too once the live band finished about 10.45pm. Only 1 working plug socket in room 10 but we coped. We would certainly stay again.
This is a very friendly pub that is very busy the only reason I didn’t give 5 * was the pub has kids birthday parties and live music which both are quiet loud
OK for an overnight stay. Our room had a view of a shipping container in the yard - not the hanging gardens of Babylon or a herd of wildebeast that we'd hoped for! (The reception staff member was too young to remember Fawlty Towers, so the comment went over his head....).
Had to ask at the bar for glass tumblers for water needs in the night and to hold toothbrushes.
Some noise from Friday night entertainment but stopped at 11pm so not an issue.
One night stay to attend concert in Liverpool. Check in was smooth, staff member showed me to room and showed fire exits etc, he was very polite. Room was ideal for what we needed. Clean and comfortable. Bathroom was clean and modern, shower prowerful, towels and toiletries provided. Free parking on site to the back of the pub. The area was quiet with minimum passing traffic. We didn’t drink or eat in the pub but it looked nice enough.

Shower issue
On arriving to hotel, was impressed with what we so.
We Checked in at around 3.o'clock
was shown to our room 8 first floor.
Room clean with all we needed.
1st thing to do was have a shower to get ready for our evening out with family. Stepped into shower all fine until water stopped running and went into a dribble so not a great experience. The wife followed me in shower that was still dribbling.
This was reported to manager when we went do stairs, his reply was somebody stayed in there yesterday and never had a problem? Perhaps its water pressure issue. I will let maintenance know.
We did have shower the morning after and all was fine? So perhaps there is a water issue that needs resolving.

Disappointing ☹️
We booked for 3 reasons - a quiet overnight stay, somewhere with parking and breakfast the next day.
Don't expect a quiet overnight stay if you're booking for a Saturday night - the venue itself is lovely but is near to a local housing estate. The noise levels are way too much - inside and out. People all shouting at over each other. Live music which goes on until gone 11pm. The food was delicious but our idea of a quiet meal was ruined by the group of 8-10 people who deemed it acceptable to all talk and shout over each other despite being in close proximity.
Parking isn't always available. You can park in the housing estate if you're comfortable with that. We didn't as we weren't local to the area.
No breakfast served at all despite being advertised on Hotels.com
Bedroom - cracks in the ceiling, a missing drawer within a set of drawers, tatty headboard, even a small stain found on the mattress bedsheet.
Bathroom - clean and spacious with lovely shower area but despite working perfectly the night before, the morning we were due to leave the shower itself was bearly a trickle and even stopped working whilst in the middle of a shower!
Checking out - no one around from the night before, left our key with the cleaner!
It's a lovely venue/restaurant that does really nice food but I think that's all it should be as there seems to be little attention to the upkeep of the rooms and also it's very impersonal for those that book a stay as there's no personal attention as such.
Very welcoming, staff very helpful, room couldn't be better.

Staff were friendly and room was perfectly fine. The shower, however, was cold and didn't warm up despite leaving it running for 5 mins. When you're only staying one night for a business trip, a hot shower in the morning is the least you can ask from a hotel. I emailed after checkout (no one from the hotel is present when you leave) to let them know about the shower situation, but so far I have had no response/acknowledgement/apology. Really disappointing.
