I was unable to use my own hairdryer in the bathroom and there were no mirrors in areas where I could have used it. The handle on the one provided was too hot to handle without wrapping in a cloth. Small complaint, and other than that, stay was perfect.

Comfortable characterless hotel near Gulbenkian
Slightly tired but comfortable mid-range hotel not far from the Gulbenkian but not as near to the old centre as it would have you believe. Good breakfast. Good-sized rooms. No toiletries apart from a squeezy bottle near the shower and near the sink. Some very good staff; others indifferent or rude (e.g. when our keys didn't work). Male toilet at breakfast room level needs repairs on the wall.

The room needs some refurbishments as it looks too old for a 4* hotel. The kettle was very dirty and it was too hot, the air con didn't seem to work.

AC IS VERY LOUD, Didnt get a sleep on my first nite. Carpet is dirty, bathroom is bare and moldy. Requested for transfer, assigned to another room but when I returned to my room after breakfast, the door is jammed and can’t open whatever they do. Waited for over an hour before it got fixed. Basically wasted 2.5 hours of my day, instead of spending sightseeing.

Room was a very good size but totally disfunctional. Power points under the furniture, to charge anything you needed to crawl under the furniture. Bathroom smelt like a whole bleach bottle used. Airconditioning not effective, so we had to have windows open and trucks and airplanes kept us awake. As per other reviews, very dated, and confirm, only 1 tub of milk supplied. Reasonable location.

The staff, for the most part, were very helpful. Unfortunately, my room had a leak in the ceiling that was dripping for my entire stay and the carpet was soaked because of it. I told the front desk about the leak when I checked in and they sent someone up. The person thought it might be the AC unit and took the ceiling apart. I had to get ready for a dinner with friends, but was not able to because of the repair going on. Finally, I left to meet friends and asked the repair man to lock my room. I was weary about leaving my room with everything in it, but had no option. The maintenance man told me it would be fixed when I returned. I returned late from dinner and the ceiling was still leaking and the floor was soaked. The dripping continued all night. When I reported it again to the front desk, they simply said "thank you for your feedback" Never an offer to change my room for me.

Close proximity to metro station for transfer to city centre. Hotel was very tired, dirty chairs in restaurant and communal seating areas in reception. Sports Bar could do with a total refurbishment. A very friendly, clean and usefully located hotel
This is a very pleasant hotel. The staff were excellent and informative. Service was prompt and helpful. I had read some reviews saying the hotel look tired and could do with redecorating. I found it was comfortable and above all, clean. Breakfast was part of my package and I was glad of this as Lisbon is a great walking city so you need a good start to your day. There was enough variety and choices whether you likes a cooked, cereal or fruit breakfast. There were two evening dining areas and I tried both. The menus were hotel guest based to reflect that you may have those looking for familiar food options. They did have Portuguese options too. I was happy with the food I ordered. They were reasonably priced, good portions, and some included a beverage all in. The only thing I would say was the air conditioning is noisy. I was lucky to be in Lisbon when it was not super hot so only had it on a few times. It worked but was noisy. Overall I would recommend it as an excellent hotel to book if visiting Lisbon, especially if you get it on a deal package. It’s a few streets from the metro and in a nice quiet location.

To noise and a little out dated
Well I’m getting pretty annoyed with these hotel booking pay top dollar and get rooms in the back of hotel plus I should have been aware of the construction and flight path noise not very nice breakfast not good at all coffee machines always out of order.

Good location, quiet street. Great coffee shop. Needs a good facelift, carpet in the room was icky, i didn't want to take my shoes off! Bed was comfy and clean.

Dear Guest, We regret that your experience was not the best one. These are a set of observations that happen occasionally, to which none hotel can escape due to its operation and daily use. We would also like to mention that the carpets in our rooms are washed regularly and vacuumed daily. Some, however, have stains that cannot be removed, although we tried everything and applied different products, but we can assure you that they all are in good hygienic conditions and it is perfectly safe to walk on them barefoot. We understand however that the visual impact is important and keep therefore replacing carpets in the rooms almost constantly. Staff were great - helped me when I'd lost my phone in an uber and very helpful during check in. Sports Bar is good. Bed was huge, but disappointly the lock to the safe was missing, so unable to use that and had to lock valuables in our suitcases each day. Decor very dated - paint flaking off the walls and woodwork. Breakfast is appallingly bad - no dinner plates, the tea plates are still wet from being washed, the hot food was generally disgusting - very greasy and only went one day out of 3!! Location is not great....very quiet surrounding area and without using uber (which was very cheap and dependable) would not have been able to see half the sites we wanted to see.

Hotel is nothing like you see on Expedia...much older! Lobby area was very dark and disappointing when we walked in. Free breakfast was downstairs in a dungeon as I would call it and terrible. Bed was very clean and bathroom was very clean so stay was acceptable.

Very clean and variety of breakfast really love it we stayed six nights and it was really good experience walkable distance to metro stations everyday they changed our bed linen and replaced bath towels Highly recommended
