Great historical museum at the location , try and go in a weekday to avoid the crowds.

The Lion's Mound monument overlooks the battlefield of Waterloo, the infamous location of Napoleon's defeat and surrender. Make sure to climb to the top for a 360 degree view point of the now serene fields.

There is a cafe onsite that also serves Waterloo beer, which is very good. The museum is excellent. I learned many things about Napoleon and his reign that I was not aware of prior to my visit.
