The hotel is comfortable and well decorated, the owners are pleasent, and speak good English, breakfast was good with fresh produce, only thing that could make the stay better would have been tea /coffee making in the room.

Our stay was wonderful! We came for Normandy Beach Races. The Hotel Is quaint and quiet. The owners are attentive and so nice. We had a wonderful breakfast each day. Recommend for any event or a beach get away!

The property was beautiful, a quick 5 min walk to the beach. The staff were incredibly kind and such wonderful hosts. The petit déjeuner offered was so great, they offered a beautiful array of fresh fruits, baked goods and so much more. We would absolutely recommend this place to others!

A gem of a hotel, clean, comfortable, warm, good breakfast and dinner, easy for parking, right in the town centre, 3 minutes walk from the beach. Friendly, welcoming owners and pleasant staff, very reasonably priced. I look forward to staying longer on a future visit. This is a good base for the D-Day trail, a seaside break, Caen and Bayeux (tapestry). Good choice of restaurants outwith the hotel too.

Ideal hotel close to Caen ferry

Friendly, comfortable, welcoming and so convenient for the Caen ferry. Recommended. Lion sur Mer is a nice little town with a fabulous beach close to a huge range of D-Day places of interest. Great fir an overnight stop or two.

We stayed in early September, so not peak season. The owners are very helpful. Breakfast is excellent value if you want it. The hotel is very convenient for the local facilities and for the beach. It is easy to find being on the main coast road.

Perfect room with charm, and a lovely window with a view of the church. It was small but lovely, and a great price, plus a short walk to the beach. Get a croissant across the road, they are top notch.

We liked everything! Our room was comfortable ànd very pretty. The buffet breakfast was really good. The bar and seating area was great fun and the food offered in the evening was just right. The couple who run it are absolutely lovely and could not do enough for us. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Andre was helpful with our late arrival. We booked small doubles which were perfect for the one night. I’d book a larger room if sharing for a longer period. Hotel was very clean and beds very comfortable - I had a great nights sleep. Will definitely return.

We arrived late, staff were waiting for us, the room was very clean, the en-suite was also very clean. The beds were so comfortable, I managed a 9hr sleep, when I can’t sleep in my own bed. I would thoroughly recommend.

Good overnight stay near Ouistreham

Arrived late after the ferry crossing and was made welcome. Unfortunately the bar had shut, which was a shame as it seemed a convivial place, and a wind down after the journey would have been appreciated. The room was very clean and well provided. With a good shower and toiletries. the room was a little noisy as it was street facing, but after a good nights sleep. We enjoyed a substantial continental breakfast. The staff were very friendly and we would stay there again.

Wonderful hotel

We stayed one night before our early ferry the next morning. When we arrived in Lion sur Mer on the Sunday we found that nearly all the restaurants were closed for annual holidays. We understood from the hotel description that they had a bar and did ‘snacks’ so we resigned ourselves to a liquid evening meal. How wrong we were! We had the choice of tapas board, salads, steak and chips. The food was wonderful so if you are staying do have a ‘snack’ in the bar - you wont regret it. Our room was clean and comfortable and as we were only staying one night we booked a small room that was perfectly adequate. We would certainly go back again and stay longer next time.
