My stay at Motel 6 Lincoln City was an utter disappointment from start to finish. Despite having prepaid and booked the room under my name, my wife was initially denied entry for not having her ID—an absurd and inflexible policy that nearly derailed our entire trip. It took managerial intervention just to access the room we had already paid for, and the sour welcome set the tone.
The facility is advertised as non-smoking, yet the reek of cigarettes permeated every hallway and room. It was like sleeping inside an ashtray. The amenities? Barely functional. The ice machine was out of order, laundry services are coin operated only (welcome to 2003, apparently), and the AC was completely broken, making the room stifling and uncomfortable.
The bathroom became a steam chamber every time we used the shower, causing such heavy condensation that it's no surprise the bathroom door was visibly and severely water-damaged. It’s clear maintenance is barely a thought here.
Between the policy absurdities, neglected infrastructure, and misleading claims, this was one of the worst motel experiences I’ve ever had. Avoid at all costs unless you're nostalgic for the smell of stale smoke and broken appliances.
