"Helpful staff. We initially had a room (balcony with lake view) with communicating door. Due to noisy neighbour we were reallocated to another room by very helpful hotel receptionist and porter. Our reallocated room was spacious but hotel was not very generous with their toiletries provision. Breakfast menu limited choice and presentation could be improved. Breakfast on day left much to be desired: plates cold, toasts were soggy, food lukewarm, not appetising. Better attempt the next day after we complained. Restaurant staff were helpful and pleasant. Lake view is superb particularly at sunset. Ample free parking including covered parking if you’re lucky. Dinner at hotel was good. We had grilled chicken salad which was very generous in portion and very tasty. Wine was excellent in quality and value. We checked out the spa and pool area but didn’t use it due to very cold room temp. There is a changing room but no lockers in the spa area. There are loungers around the pool but not tempting enough to hang around as the area is too cold. As a result we took one star off the amenities. Overall the interior decor of the hotel looks tired but is compensated by enthusiastic and helpful staff, and the superb hotel setting. "

"Check-in after midnight was smooth, but unfortunately the experience after that was disappointing. The night staff told me I could check out at 11:30am. However, when I called in the morning to extend my stay, I was told checkout was strictly at 11:00am. When I spoke to the manager, he said that his staff dont know anything and insisted I leave by 11. I believe staff should be properly trained to give accurate information and honour what is promised to guests. To make things worse, when I asked about extending my stay, I was first told it would be double the price, and then within minutes was told it was no longer available. The room itself was okay, but not great. Overall, the service was disappointing, and I would not choose to stay here again."

"This was a budget accommodation so I wasn’t expecting much. It was clean and the staff were very friendly. I did not expect a leaky roof when it rained. Also a parking space was provided but no signage was visible informing others the spaces were for paying guests, so others used our space."
