Best hotel on the camino frances

Amazing hotel situated in an old monastery close to the beautiful Cathedral in León. Excellent staff in the reception feeling welcomed after a long camino walk. Room very spacious and ventilated. Will for sure come back for more nights in the future.

So happy to return to tranquil hotel

We first stayed here as pilgrims during our Camino Frances and vowed to return to this beautiful accommodation. Clean, welcoming and so comfortable… looking forward to our next stay. We appreciated the email with clear instructions about how to reach the hotel via the specific road route into the historic area of Leon (which is vehicle restricted) and received a warm welcome at reception. Glorious place on an ancient square in proximity to sightseeing attractions, bars and restaurants. A real winner.

Terrible breakfast service. Stale bread, we were told there wasn't fresh bread delivered on any day. A bit of fruit and that's about it. No restaurant either. The bedroom was good and quiet, location was very good to be able to visit the city.

Needs a little work, great spot

This hotel is different, its location is fantastic it’s close by the cathedral and plaza mayor. There is an abundance of restaurants and bars as well as interesting little shops. However we did have difficulty finding it having asked and nearly been sent down a one way street not recognised by our navigation system, the receptionist was great at directing us and we got there. The hotel itself is very clean, with lovely white towels and linen. The beds and pillows so comfortable. What does let it down is the breakfast it needs more thought to make it more enjoyable, we weren’t able to sit in the garden as even early I the morning it was being set for lunch, hence the dining area was austere, not set out ready for guests. If they sort that area then it’s a lovely hotel in a great spot.

I had a wonderful stay at Hospedería Pax. The staff were incredibly friendly and warm. Since we do not speak Spanish, they kindly made phone calls on our behalf and helped us with anything we needed. Their willingness to assist us made a big difference and made us feel truly cared for. On our first day, our train was delayed and we did not arrive until 11:20 PM. Despite the late hour, they waited for us and welcomed us with kindness. It is true that on the first night there was a power outage affecting only our room, so we did not have heating or lights. However, the warmth and genuine care shown by the staff more than made up for this inconvenience. Overall, the hospitality and kindness we experienced here left a lasting impression. I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to others.
