Really enjoyed our stay here. Property was super cute & a few minutes walk from the best swimming beach on the island. Loved the relaxing vibe. There were a few negatives, mainly being the cleanliness. As the photos online were so amazing, I was a little bit disappointed. In saying that, If these little things were fixed I would give it a 5/5 and wouldn’t hesitate to go back. - mould on the bed canopy. As you look up when in bed, I could see big spots of mould. Knowing that the canopy doesn’t get cleaned, I had to keep moving it behind the bed as I didn’t like my kids touching it. - the hammock (brown one) outside our room had a huge spot of mould/stain. - lounge chair outside was filthy. I wouldn’t use it unless I had my sarong covering over it. - no where to hang wet pool towels & they don’t get replaced. I resorted to putting our dining chairs in the walkway with our towels over them so they got some sun. - walls are crumbling and there was a hole right next to the bed where the bedside table is. - area under & behind the bed had very thick dust and needs a deep clean including the bed frame. I still loved the place but these small things that could easily be fixed would make this place amazing.

Lovely, conveniently located property with easy access to one of the best beaches in the island, Mushroom Bay. Breakfast was simple but tasty. Friendly staff on hand to cater to needs. Can’t fault this quiet laid back retreat.

November in Castaway
We had a wonderful quiet stay at Castaway for 10 nights late October - early November 2022, it's just a few mins walk from the ferry, the staff were very friendly and attentive, the free breakfast until 11:00 was a good bonus, the pool and accommodation were a very good standard, easy access to restaurants, shops, scooter hire, supermarkets...i recommend this as a great place to stay on Lembongan

Coming from a five star hotel the previous night we may have been a little distracted by the smaller bed and humble room but the staff and the personal vibe more than made up for that! We loved our stay here and will definitely return.

Place was nice and cosy, staff were very helpful to call and arrange for pick ups. Breakfast was also delicious. Only complaint was that the shower was erratic and didn't have hot water at times.

A great small resort close to the beach and AtTMs and cafes. The staff were lovely and helpful with tour information and our room was cleaned daily. The pool was a good size and clean. My only complaint was the live music playing every night directly across the road until 10.00pm but other than that was a great stay and would stay here again.

The location is very close to Mushroom Beach with restaurants closeby. The staff are wonderful and extremely helpful. Pool is clean. Small complex.. The only suggestion from myself would be some extra lighting around the path at the entrance as it is hard to see at night. This is my second stay here.

Slightly disappointed
The resort is beautiful. Would of rated much higher BUT NO HOT water . We stayed in 8 mid range priced hotel and was surprised that they couldn’t get it to work . It was the most expensive hotel we stayed in so we were disappointed that we had to take 1-2 minute showers ! And secondly , food was incredibly salty , even when we requested light salt . Both situations were addressed but not resolved .

Nice relaxing island stay
We had a great stay at Castaway. The hotel felt like a little oasis to come home to after being out in the islands. It was small and compact and the rooms were nicely arranged around a lovely pool. We spent more time hanging out at the hotel around the pool than we expected. The staff was very helpful in arranging local tours and day trips. The only small issue was that the rooms were not very well soundproofed so there was some noise from the other rooms and from the bar across the street. The hotel is in a great spot and is very walkable to several restaurants, dive shops, and Mushroom Bay beach which is a beautiful spot at sunset.

We booked a room that was advertised as having a fridge and coffee making facilities. On arrival found we had an adjoining room with no fridge, no kettle, no coffee or tea or complementary water bottles. The only good thing was we had a day bed on our porch. We complained about this and was told we had the adjoining room to a 2 bedroom family unit. The other room had a kitchenette and a large fridge. Ideal for a family. The manager compensated us with a free bottle of wine and we could use the bar fridge with complementary water. There was also a free to use water filter which supplied chilled water for anyone to use at the hotel which was nice. The good things about the hotel was Clean Helpful nice staff Very well kept pool Really nice rooms if you have 2 rooms for a family. The bad things Noise, rooms have thin walls and you can here every thing from adjoining room. Can here bar restaurant with band down road. Need to ask to have pool towel changed. There’s a good restaurant called Lgood just up the road from Castaway. The staff are at the hotel from 7am to 7pm. So no service after these hours.

Amazing location, the staff are all so lovely, breakfast was fantastic and the room is the perfect atmosphere! They kept it really clean and even come in at night time while you’re out to prep your bed and to turn your lamps on! The pool is really good too! Thank you dewa and gday!

Nice hotel close to beach
Great small hotel with 7 villas and friendly staff. Hotel has own bikes to hire which was very handy as you need the bikes to explore the island. This hotel is in walking distance to all facilities such as restaurants, massages, dive centers and few clothes shops.

Lovely small hotel 5 close to restaurants
Enjoyed our stay in this hotel.We had a two bedroom villa with deck which had a daybed table and chairs large fridge and cooking facilities. Breakfast was served on the deck/patio. Breakfast was excellent The staff without exception were lovely friendly and veryhelpful. There is a bar on the opposite side of the hotel which has live music till 10pm and if you have children would definitely request a room not on the roadside.

Spacious nice bungalows but no noise privacy
We stayed at the Castaway resort for two nights. It is conveniently located within walking distance of the beach where the boats arrive from Bali. The resort itself is tiny and even though the bungalows were beautiful and spacious, we felt the whole lay-out was a bit cramped, which is no big deal. But do consider that the bungalows are not individual but two under one roof. There is a thin wooden door connecting the two through which every little sound coming from or going to the adjacent bungalow travels! This is a little compromise on privacy. We'd loved to see more vegan options on the breakfast menu. We found the breakfast to be rather basic for the type of accommodation. The staff were all very friendly and helpful - when we wanted to rent a motorbike for the day, it was available within minutes, although its condition was so-so.

the location was great a short 5 minute down hill walk to mushroom beach where there are some bar/restraunts on the beach. good clean water especially when boats have gone for the day. it is quite busy. or the other way 10 minute walk to Sandy beach for dinner and swim. we hired a golf buggy for the day and drove around island. room was big and cool lovely outdoor shower. kitchen was ok but didnt use anyway just to make cup of tea. staff friendly and helpful. could be a bit noisy if accommodation full as rooms all off the pool. shady tropical gardens give privacy.

It was simply great! Staff was so kind, prepared breakfast and served it on your own veranda. Location is great, between all restaurants and diving schools. We recommend them also for transport (speed ferry) arrrangements, from Bali to Lembongan and back.

Sehr schönes Hotel auf Nusa Lembongan. Die Boho vibes und die Dekoration hat mir besonders gut gefallen. In Zimmer fehlt meiner Meinung nach ein Ganzkörper Spiegel. Ansonsten hätte das Frühstück etwas üppiger sein können. Ich konnte aus einer Auswahl an Frühstücken wählen, z. B. Bowl und dazu gab es einen Fruchtsaft. Ein paar frische, aufgeschnittene Früchte und/oder ein Stück Gebäck hätten noch dazu gegeben werden können.

Die Angestellten sind wirklich sehr hilfsbereit und höflich. Das Frühstück wird direkt auf die Veranda gebracht und man fühlt sich einfach nur wohl. Die Betten werden täglich gemacht, die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber, Kaffee steht jederzeit zur Verfügung und und und. Es ist eine kleine Oase, sehr zentral gelegen. Zum Strand und den wunderschönen lokalen maximal 15 Minuten. Auch gegenüber sehr schönes Freiuftlokal mit open Air Musik. Der Leiter der Unterkunft hat uns tolle Tipps gegeben und uns für Bali in Ubud eine grandiose Taxifahrerempfehlung für tägliche Tripps Wir können die Unterkunft nur weiter empfehlen und würden diese sofort wieder buchen.

Tres bon malgre petit souci regle par Dewa
Super sejour. Super equipe et mention speciale au Manager Dewa qui a ete extraordinaire de professionalisme. Notre bungalow etait proche du groupe electrogene qui se declenchait la nuit et faisait bcp de bruit (au passage lors de la reservation demandez une chambre eloignee de la rue...). Il nous a places dans la villa qui etait dispo pour la fin se sejour et etat toujours disponible poue tout et tres arrangeant. Les bungalows sont tres confortables, la piscine tres agreable. Tout est tres peopre er bien place. Il n’y a certes pas la vue sur la mer/plage mais on peut acceder a tout tres rapidement. Tres bien en tout point !!

Veldig hyggelig og renslig sted. Rent vann i bassenget og veldig avslappende opphold. Veldig nære Mushroom bay hvis man vil være der. Frokost med egg og toast serveres ved egen treasse. Koselig. Vi likte også maten rett over veien ved LGood veldig godt.

Wonderful stay at Castaway
We had three wonderful days at this paradise of an island and resort. Castaway arranged the transport from the airport and on the way back to Ubud. They had scooters outside the resort we rented, and they booked us on a fantastic boattrip with snorkeling. The staff at resort were so serviceminded and kind, and breakfast were really good. Thank you for a wonderfulstay.
