「you have to consider the following issues before choosing this hotel. 1. check in: if you will arrive after 6pm, it will be inconvenient to check in. they will put the key inside the hotel and you may not be able to find someone to open the door. they use physical key and only provide one key. 2. noise: the room is clean and large but it is a very historic building so you will hear every step from the upper floor. 3. water pressure: as mentioned, it is a very old building, the water pressure...

「Nicely designed room and bathroom and very spacious. The kitchette was lacking in amenities to be able to use it for proper meals (no toaster, limited cutlery/pans etc). Hotel is staffless and you get the key sent to your phone to enter the main entrance and room (requires internet), this was fine for us. The hotel is a great location, right in the middle of Leiden centre.」

「Parkeren was makkelijk. Het voelde niet zo gezellig aan. De kamers waren schoon het personeel was vriendelijk. Het ontbijt was prima. 」

「Quiet neighborhood on the canal which is convenient to explore Leiden or go to the beach but there is no town with shops or restaurants to walk to. We had the suite, but it is just a large room so if you want a separate bedroom for privacy, this is not a suite by American standards.」

「Room was clean. Staff was wonderful. Midnight Check in and bar tender gentleman on April 17 was wonderful. Joann in Housekeeping was extremely responsive. Ordered from Breakfast menu- wonderful. Slight Ocean view. Dead bolt safety lock did not work. Joann reported it. Left for the day and was fixed upon return. Telephone did not work properly. Joann switched out phone. Yet still did not work. No listing of English speaking TV channels.」

「Een en prettig hotel. De ontvangst en het ontbijt waren uitstekend. De eigenaar is een goede gastheer. De kamers worden goed en netjes schoongehouden. Mooie kamers waarvan een aantal met balkon en uitzicht op de zee. Een zeer uitgebreide voorraad wisky’s is aanwezig, met deskundige toelichting. Een minpuntje is de kosten van parkeren. Dit loopt al gauw toch op, dit ondanks dat je tussen 21 en 9 uur niet hoeft te betalen. 」
