A comfortable stay

Overall a great stay. Clean, friendly, maybe not luxurious but nothing is missing. WiFi very good (5 hot spots) and breakfast more that a 2* hotel. Daily cleaning of the room and very convenient location (very close to Nydri amd Lefkada).

Well located between Lefkada and Nydri. Nikiana is very convenient place to stay in Lefkada and Sofia Hotel has all facilities that make your stay pleasant. Spacious rooms, having all facilities (AC, Wifi, safe, refrigerator (not a mini bar one) and on a daily basis cleaning.

Great view but very loud road

The view is great but keep in mind there is a lot of stairs to your room. Breakfast was okay the road in front was very loud.

As we checked in the receptionist asked us to pay €31 to cover any damage cost. He then stated this is the hotel policy and we would be refunded upon check in out of the hotel. As we checked out the hotel, the owner only refunded us back €20. When questioned the hotel owner he stated the €11 was for the local tax. Although €11 is not going to hurt my bank balance, it’s the basic principle, when booking the hotel via Expedia, the taxes are included. Also the rooms do not have tea and coffee facilities (coffee sachets, sugar, tea) and the parking is very limited. Also the buffet breakfast is very basic. The shower facility in the rooms are very tinny and the shower curtain is not adequate.

Le stanze vista mare offrono una bella veduta ma sono fronte strada e quindi rumorose in quanto molto trafficata ma con finestre chiuse e aria condizionata il rumore non si percepisce. Parcheggio scomodo a causa della posizione della struttura.

Virkelig dårlig oplevelse. Havde ringet til hotel på forhånd for at tjekke vedr aircondition. Fandt ved ankomst ud af, at der ikke var aircondition på det ene værelse. 40 grader og ingen søvn. Rigtig meget støj fra gaden også.

La struttura non è brutta anzi molto carina in mezzo al verde. Il bagno come avevo letto da altri viaggiatori è veramente brutto tempo. Doccia attaccata al water con tendina . Quando fla usi si allaga tutto.. Luce al bagno inesistente. Le pulizie ognni 2 gg se non lasci gli asciugamani fuori dalla porta niente. . Un ragazzo veramente eccezionale Cris in reception gentilissimo. . Cmq alla fine siamo stati bene perché l isola è qualcosa di meraviglioso. Avrebbero fatte delle migliorie

Location che viene penalizzata dall'essere su una strada molto trafficata, quindi rumorosa. Molto positivo il giudizio sulla pulizia e l'attenzione al cliente. Soddisfacente la colazione ( yogurt greco veramente ottimo). Ottima WIFI

Little hidden treasure in Nikiana

This place is amazing. I feel like we could vacation like a local here. We were greeted by Chris at the start and everyone was so helpful the entire time. The room is very private but had an amazing view from the balcony. We could hang clothes to dry. The breakfast was good. There are 2 great restaurants within 3 min walk. Beach and markets are 3 min drive in town of Nikiana. The advantage to this place is that it is not in the hustle and bustle of Lefkada town but has great stuff near it. Parking space was also very nice and convenient. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful and pleasant.

This place is out of the city (south about 15 kilometers) and well away from the noise of the city and along a beautiful area. I found even the neighbors in the area friendly, much more so the staff. I recommend this place to everyone.

Lohnt sich

Die Leute waren sehr nett und gehen auf Wünsche ein. Man erhält auch viele Infos und Broschüren was man auf der Insel unternehmen kann. Die Zimmer wurden jeden Tag gereinigt. Unser Zimmer hatte Meerblick. Es gibt klima tv und eine Küche. Gute Lage da mit dem Auto die beiden Städte Lefkada und Nydri innerhalb von 10 minuten erreichbar sind.

Hotel Sofia - la gentilezza del proprietario!

La prima cosa che ci ha colpiti all'arrivo è stata la gentilezza del proprietario che in modo molto cordiale ci ha subito dato consigli sui luoghi da visitare, le spiagge e i ristoranti. Molto disponibile e cortese.L'albergo è in buone condizioni, le camere confortevoli, consiglio vivamente il lato montagna perchè affaccia su un giardino, dispone di un piccolo balcone, è molto silenzioso e più fresco.Le stanze vista mare infatti affacciano sulla strada provinciale estremamente rumorosa.La stanza era molto ben pulita con un piccolo angolo cottura con le piastre.Unica pecca nel bagno (ma temo sia così ovunque in Grecia) è che la doccia è con il piatto doccia senza cabina: loro usano una tenda che però non è comodissima per evitare di bagnare il pavimento.Come posizione l'hotel è a 3Km da Nidri dove trovate locali ristoranti ecc. ed è un buon punto di partenza per visitare tutti gli altri luoghi dell'isola. Il mare vicino l'albergo è a 2Km, non è male, è sempre calmo, ma come bellezza è molto meglio il lato opposto dell'isola oppure la spiaggia di Poros. Da migliorare decisamente la colazione dove seppure c'erano delle torte fatte in casa piuttosto buone la quantità e la varietà scarseggiava secondo noi. A 50mt dall'albergo c'è un ristorante meraviglioso si chiama Mnvas e cucina del pesce ottimo.Buon viaggio!
