"Did not use the pool and the hotel was a mess. It is currently under construction. If we had known this we would have found a different place to stay. Room heat did not work, ceiling light did not work, phone in room did not work and the tv kept turning off and on "

"Lovely stay. Our suite was cozy and clean. The front desk manager was very professional and our checkin was a breeze. The complimentary breakfast was fantastic and dinner in the restaurant was delicious and the staff friendly. The lobby had a beautiful fire in the fireplace as we entered. The pool was clean and spacious and our grandchildren had a great time swimming and feeding the fish and turtles in the indoor pond. We will absolutely be guests in the future. "

"MUST DO call to ask if construction is finished. The noise was unbearable. But the staff, realizing this, refunded the cost of rooms and we are grateful. Our large group of friends adjusted plans, skipped planned quiet moments needed from the drive up, and left early to miss the next round of racket. Yes, the work needs to get done and busting up tile makes way for upgrades. I hope that the work is finished soon."

"It is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places and indeed is an old building. Despite not having a fitness center or restaurant that is open before 7 am, microwave in the room, or other small amenities, I found this hotel to be quite charming, clean, safe and with very comfortable accommodations. The mattress and pillow were the most comfortable hotel bedding I can ever recall. The closet is large enough to fit a couch or small bed inside. There’s parking outside and a lot across the street as the hotel is located in downtown near the train station and courthouse. I had a great time in the early morning, walking down Main Street window shopping as nothing was yet open. I would choose to stay here again over other modern places nearby, and I highly recommend this hotel. "
