DO NOT STAY HERE!!! The staff charged my debit card for the room even though I had already paid for it through Expedia. When we asked to have it refunded they were friendly and said they took care of it. We never received the refund. I have called over and over again and spoken to 2 representatives who were not able to help. I finally got a call from the General Manager who is condescending and rude. He told me that they did refund my money at exactly the time that I checked out (seems odd that the bank released the funds on a Saturday morning at 8am.... ) He also told me that they don't use a bank account, the money goes in and out directly through the hotel (I questioned this because it's a ridiculous statement, nonsensical), then I asked to escalate beyond him, he said there is no one else beyond him. The hotel is owned privately and all the money goes through the personal bank account of the owner. There is no accounting department, no finance team, no one at all that can help me regain my money. He also hasn't sent me the document from the bank stating the funds were released, even though he said he would.
The only thing this hotel has going for it is the fact that it is a close walk to town. It's old, dingy and smells. We were in a pinch when we reserved the room otherwise I would have stayed somewhere else.
