Saint-Amans is a hamlet in the commune of Le Truel, in southern Aveyron, in the Raspes de Tarn region. The eponymous lake is connected by tunnel under the Puech de Cassagne and then through penstocks to the Le Pouget hydroelectric power station 500m below. Bourne at 639m on a hill le Bosc.

Fairly isolated location-had to spend a half hour on the road to Albi to get to other main roads. The swimming pool was not operating and there was not nuch for children to do on sight-especially when we had a week of cold and rail.
