"Hotel Excelsior is all about the location. It’s right in the centre of La Maddalena, with an amazing waterfront position where you can sit and watch the ferries come and go. I booked a sea view room, which was definitely worth it and easily the highlight of the stay.
The rooms are on the small side but were clean and comfortable, and the air conditioning was excellent, which made a big difference during the warmer weather. Breakfast was decent without being anything special, but again, the incredible view makes it a much more enjoyable experience.
One thing to be aware of is that the hotel does not have its own parking, despite what you might expect. All parking is on the street, so don’t arrive assuming there’s private parking available.
Overall, it’s a solid choice if you want to be in the heart of town with fantastic views, great air conditioning, and easy access to everything La Maddalena has to offer."
