Beautiful and Charming Place
Friendly and accommodating staff, I was late booking our dinner but get accomodated, good food. Small but charming, beautiful and sustainable vegetable garden. Rooms are small so is the bathroom, XL size person may have challenges using the bathroom. I understand that these type of accomodation caters for hikers so our room have hiker's feet smell which you get used after a while.

Hotel Edelweiss in Wengen, is an exceptional choice due to the people who work there. Daniel and Tomas lead the way but the restaurant chef, his staff, and the other employees will quickly become your new best friends while you stay there. The evening meals were culinary delights and the breakfast fare was perfect to start the day.

Wonderful location with beautiful views of mountains. Wonderful hosts. Really enjoyed the wine, cheese, and Swiss history evening. You can also reserve a table for dinner at the hotel restaurant (highly recommended).

Pros- amazing staff, incredible views, good breakfast, very clean, excellent location not far from train station. Cons - our room had a very small bathroom and didn’t find bed comfortable. Overall though a fantastic place to stay while in Wengen.

This property is in good location, room is clean, staff is nice and helpful. I like the elevator, very fast! Facility in the room is limited. It only has type E power outlet. Thanks the staff gave me the type C adapter, but still not work very well. The pillow is too soft and low, we’ll have to add cushion below the pillow.

We loved our stay. Our view was incredible from our balcony. The breakfast was so good. The shower was so hot and felt fantastic after a long day. We would definitely come back because of the great service and care we received from the staff. I lost my purse and the staff was incredibly gracious and went out of there way to help us try to find it.

A fantastic stay! Great location, great food and both hosts took the time to give us sightseeing and dining recommendations which worked out perfectly. I can’t say enough on great the service was and the breakfast and dinners were great.

This hotel is run by an exceptional team who makes you feel like family. Very helpful, attentive and considerate of your needs. Family-owned, the staff really made for a most pleasant stay. We could not recommend more highly, and the location is convenient to the town of Wengen and to many trains and cable cars connecting you to both sides of the valley. Outstanding food service for breakfast and dinner; wonderful chef. Go.

Perfect stay in Wengen
We had such a wonderful stay here. Each staff member we interacted with was wonderful. We ate two dinners, both of which were excellent, and enjoyed the hotel breakfast every morning. They were also great about providing vegetarian and alternative offerings to the main course. I was glad I booked a balcony room. The views from our balcony were excellent. Already dreaming of returning and staying at Hotel Edelweiss again.

We loved our stay at the Hotel Edelweiss! The staff was the best we experienced in our 7 country European trip. Lovely location, very clean, great breakfast, and spectacular views. Definitely recommend!

I stayed in this amazing hotel in August 2023. Don't be fooled by the pictures. The hotel may look old and rustic in the picture. But in reality, the interior is really nice and clean. It's very close to the train station, but it's a fairly steep walk. Coming out of the hotel and take a right, you will have an amazing view of the snow capped mountains and the valley. I was traveling with my parents so we stayed in a triple room. The room seemed basic at first glance, but it's actually built to a high quality and built to last. Everything works and the room is spacious and highly functional. We also had dinners at the hotel for all 3 nights. The food was great and very reasonably priced. The best part of the stay are the people. Everyone we met has been very kind and super helpful. Thank you, Daniel, Tomas, Claudia, Pedro, Matthias and the rest of the Hotel Edelweiss team for a wonderful stay!

This hotel is very clean and the staff are all so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and the location is gorgeous with views of the valley and mountains right from the front yard. We hope to be back one day!

This is a lovely hotel with an amazing view. The staff is incredibly friendly. Upon check in, Daniel greeted us warmly and gave us a map and detailed information on hikes in the area. And throughout our stay, Thomas was always there with a smile and willing to help. The meal in the dining room was a fixed price and was very good. The only downside was the tiny bathroom, but it was certainly functional. I highly recommend this hotel. Wengen is only a 12 minute train ride away from busy Lauterbrunnen, and is well worth it for the peace and quiet here.

Wonderful property to stay at. Tomas the host was awesome and very helpful on places to see and how to navigate the trains. The hotel was quaint and quiet, exactly what we were looking for on our trip. Breakfast spread was delicious. Elevator for accessibility. Highly recommend staying here in Wengen over Lauterbrunnen. A wonderful stay.
We had a fantastic stay at The Edelweiss Hotel. Daniel and his team of professionals made us feel like family. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted as though we were old friends, even though it was our first visit. Comfortable rooms and inviting grounds, deliciously prepared meals and the friendly hospitality make this a great place to stay in Wengen. Be sure to have dinner there as well! We highly recommend everything about the Edelweiss.

Our family truly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Edelweiss. The room was nice and the beds were comfortable. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Their service is top notch! The breakfast had much variety and was delicious. We ate two dinners at the hotel and thoroughly enjoyed the 4-course meals. The chef does a wonderful job and even came out to answer our question about what a certain fruit was. We utilized the hotel's laundry service. It was $20/bag, and they did a great job. As for Wengen, it is a charming city with a grocery store, a laundromat, a delicious bakery, restaurants and shopping. It was small enough but big enough. The views are amazing. There are many walking trails right from the hotel that took us past farms, waterfalls, and to beautiful lookouts. I would very highly recommend staying at Hotel Edelweiss in Wengen. You won't regret it!

We are so happy about our stay at Hotel Edweiss to feel Swiss wood cabin. The view is outstanding and the front desk made efforts the moment we stepped in the hotel to know our schedule and make recommendations on what we could do. If not because of their recommendations we would have completely missed out the hiking routes and going to the top of Schilthorn. After coming back from the hikes we even had a great sauna to relax. Highly recommended hotel in the Lauterbrunnen. We will definitely be back
