I would strongly caution families and anyone traveling with children before staying at The New Pioneer. We stayed here while attending a wrestling tournament and the experience was awful from beginning to end. The bathroom had dead roaches, the room conditions were disappointing, and the environment was not family friendly at all. The only way to access the hotel restaurants was by walking through the casino, which was filled with heavy cigarette smoke. It was overwhelming and absolutely not suitable for children. The worst part was after checkout. I booked through Expedia and was told my debit card would only be used for a $100 incidental deposit. The next morning I found additional charges totaling around $460 on my card. When I called the hotel, I was accused of “tampering with smoke detectors” and told I was blacklisted. This accusation was completely false. I never touched a smoke detector and honestly didn’t even notice where one was located. I was barely in the room except to shower and sleep because we spent most of our time at the wrestling tournament. No proof, photos, documentation, or explanation was provided before charging my card. Very disappointing experience overall. Definitely would not recommend for families, especially those traveling for youth sports

Nice place to stay. Great central location. Easy walk to all of Laughlin. Stayed in room #809, which was a top floor (3rd) middle unit on the south side of building 6/7/8. Two nights in late-April 2026. Negatives: No USB ports. Card key stopped working on second evening, requiring a walk & wait to the front desk. Subjectively, no coffee or tea was provided (we brought our own with travel kettle). Positives: Easy check-in. Abundant free parking. Easy exterior access to the rooms (no walking a mile thru a casino, up the elevator, another mile down the corridor, etc.) Room was quiet, clean, & comfortable. Moderate size room with proper desk, chair, & sofa. Water was instant hot with extra strong pressure in the shower. Free Wi-fi worked well. I gave a whole star for providing easy to use EV charging. Five chargers located close to the casino, which are completely free at this point in time. Check-out was easy, just leave the key in the room. Final thoughts: I liked this place. It provides good lodging at a good price. And if you own an EV, it's an outstanding value! We'll be back.

Room was beat up since we last stayed a few years ago, the renovations didn’t hold up and the floor left your bare feet black. No coffee or fridge, there are many better properties nearby in the same price range.

I go to Laughlin a lot and I love this place for my family, it’s clean, you don’t have to go through a smokey Casino floor with your kids to hit the pool (Pool is great), or wait 10 minutes for an elevator to go outside and get some fresh air 🌳💨 (if you know you know) . The staff is great any security is friendly but always around keeping watch. The “beach” area is very small but it gets the job done for the sand toys and beach vibes. Also I love to bike ride so I like that it’s easy to carry my bike up to my room. Overall it’s a great hotel/casino with a sickass pool and easily accessible rooms.

The inside of the room was very clean and modern and the king bed was huge and comfortable. BUT the towers are separate from the casino so there's no one watching them. Lots of people hanging outside which made it look ghetto. Couple was fighting outside my door at 2am! The door locked but horrible wiggled so it did not make me feel safe when I was there or left. Thought I'd get back to my stuff being gone

Plain clean room. No coffeemaker, no frig, no microwave, no free breakfast. No coffee in the lobby or check in area Basically pretty uninviting oh no working landline phone. The casino smelled like an old stale bar.of cigarettes smoke (Why is this still allowed!) The staff was pleasant, will hope to receive my 100 dollar deposit as promised. Shout out to Miley in housekeeping who hooked me up with a coffee maker and supplies (Thank you!) Overall if u just want the basics to shower and sleep and that's it guess it will do for you. One positive wasn't disturbed by noise.I think that was only because rooms next door were unoccupied though
