I really enjoy staying at Hyatt; it's always my first choice when I travel. However, this time I booked my reservation through hotel.com, and the experience left me feeling quite inconvenienced. To begin with, I was informed that I couldn't make any updates to my room because I had booked through a third party. I was also unable to apply my Hyatt member benefits to my reservation, which was surprising and disappointing.
The most frustrating part of my stay was when an Asian receptionist told me I had to vacate my room by 12:00 pm and wait for my next day's room to become available. This was particularly inconvenient as I had a lot of luggage. Fortunately, another receptionist kindly reminded me that I could check for an available room by breakfast time, allowing me to avoid waiting until noon and saving me a significant amount of time.
Another issue I encountered was having to call twice and wait for more than 30 minutes to receive my towels. Additionally, there was no extra blanket in the closet, which I believe should be a standard amenity. Despite these challenges, overall, my stay was good. However, I believe there is room for improvement in the staff service.
