An incredible experience staying here. Away from chaos and the generic standard of a resort full of tourists. A beautiful homely feel with Elena being so kind and generous. Her mum also spoiled me with her cooking. A genuine getaway in a local town with a couple tavernas and surprisingly busy at night despite the quiet during the day. The accommodation has everything you need. I felt so fortunate to have found this place - highly recommend.

Our stay at Stratos house was the perfect start to our time in Paphos. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, Elena was so kind and welcoming. We experienced true Cypriot hospitality and a little slice of village life. You will need a car to get there and to visit around the area. There's plenty to keep all tastes happy, from chilling beaches, traditional villages, hiking, and bustling cities nearby.

Happy in the village

Stratos House was a very cool and unique place to stay. It was kind of like having a little art home in the village. The owners are lovely and people around the village are very helpful. Would stay again!

Excellent stay.

Great experience in an unusual property with lots of character. Amazing breakfast and host. Nothing was too much trouble. Room was great and would stay again. Not ideal for families as no pool etc but perfect for a couple who want to stay somewhere a little different.

The Pride in Home, Village and Country.

Wow! Where do I start? Perhaps with the history of this home, this village and this country? Maybe, I should start with the wonderful room that welcomed us and made us feel so very welcome and cool in the ancient rock walls? A mention should be made of the wonderful atmosphere of the dinner in the village square, with a village red wine and marvellous local foods. Surely, I would be remiss if I forget to mention the magnificent food that our fantastic hosts, Giorgio and Helena, prepared for us every morning. To sum it all up, we did not want to leave and now, three days later, still want to go back. Truly a case of one day is too good, and one more is never enough... A massive thank you to Helena and Giorgio, you made our holiday so very special

Good option for travelers

The house is very nice and the decoration is really interesting and inviting. The owners are very welcoming and breakfast is fulfilling. The owners definitely make sure all guests will have the best stay possible. The only thing is that the bathroom inside the room was very (very) small. The village where the hotel is located at is safe and clean, but if you are a vegetarian and like eating at local restaurants, you might have a hard time finding variety in the surrounding area. The house is definitely a great option for travelers, specially for couples.

Unterkunft zum Wohlfühlen

Wir haben uns von Anfang an rundum wohl gefühlt. Wir kamen erst spät Abends an, was aber kein Problem darstellte. Im Kühlschrank fanden wir einen Wilkommensgruss in Form von Wasser, Wein und Snack. Die Gastgeber sind super nett, immer freundlich und geben gerne Tipps zu möglichen Ausflugszielen. Das Frühstück war der Hammer, wir waren 14 Tage da und es gab jeden Tag etwas anderes und super lecker. Wir haben uns sehr willkommen und wie zu Hause gefühlt und wir kommen sicher bald wieder.

Besonderes Urlaubshotel

Das Hotel liegt idyllisch in einem Tal wenige Kilometer vom Meer entfernt und zentral auf der Insel im alten Ortskern von Kalavasos. Besonders herausragend ist die engagierte Leitung des kleinen Hotels (4 Zimmer). Auch das abwechslungsreiche, zypriotische Frühstück weit abseits des Üblichen muss lobend erwähnt werden. Dieses Hotel ist wirkliches eines der Besten und nur zu empfehlen.

Detta hotell var det bästa valet för den som vill komma bort från storstaden och ha en avkopplande retreat på landsbygden samtidigt som en blir väl omhändertagen. Inget är bättre! Plus för jacuzzi. En stor strand med goda service- och matställen fanns en kortare bilresa bort. Ett tips är att skaffa eget färdmedel för bästa flexibilitet.

Straros Art Deco House Unbeleivable Experience!

Thank you Ellana for an amazing stay your House is wonderful and your hospitality is great. Would recommand you to all my clients travelling to Cyprus. Loved the house will all its features, cleaness and Ellanas dellicious breakfast i wish i stayed there longer than two nights. Loved our suite which has a small kitchen and dinig area and then a bedroom with an ensuite. Ellana gave us tips on what to do and where to go around the area especially to small secluded beaches which were beautiful.

Excellent hotel!!

I stayed 1 week in this amazing and cosy hotel in a nice and quite area of Cyprus. Giorgio and Elena are absolutely fantastic and made my stay a truly unforgettable experience. The breakfast was super and homemade, the room and kitchen are really well decorated and looked after in every details. Everyday I was gifted with sweets in my room. Really appreciated and brought smile to my face. The area is quite and relaxing. I felt like at home surrounded by amazing people. The owners are fantastic in every way and very sweet. I recommend this hotel. Thank you Giorgio and Elena you have been amazing and wish you all the best.

Quite town in in the middle of Cyprus.

We were humbled by the generous hospitality of the owner/operators Elena and George. Each day we found home made sweets in our room, which was cleaned daily. True Cypriot hospitality.

Hübsches, familiär geführtes Hotel

Das Stratos Art Deco Haus ist ein sehr liebevoll gestaltetes Hotel. Alle Zimmer sind individuell und einzigartig. Liebe zum Detail zeichnen das gesamte Haus aus. Der Empfang war bereits sehr herzlich, das Ehepaar Elena und Giorgio sind stets um ihre Gäste bemüht. Sehr ruhige, saubere Zimmer, ein entzückender Innenhof laden zum erholen ein. Auf jeden Fall mit Frühstück buchen, täglich gab es neue köstliche cypriotische Gerichte. Das Frühstück wurde ebenfalls liebevoll angerichtet und dekoriert. Vom Frühstückstisch steht garantiert niemand hungrig auf. In der Ortschaft kann man sehr gut essen, Tavernen laden zum Verweilen ein. Um zum Strand zu kommen benötigt man ein Leihauto. Kalavassos ist ein ruhiger beschaulicher Ort, ideal für all jene die Ruhe und Erholung suchen.

Urgemütlich und liebevoll

Ein kleines feines privates Hotel, bei dem einem überall kleine Details auffallen. Das ausgiebige Frühstück mit einheimischen Spezialitäten auf der Terrasse ist einfach klasse und der Innenhof lädt mit Jacuzzi und gemütlichen Sitzecken ein. Die Gastgeber erfüllen einem jeden Wunsch und geben gern Tipps und Karten für die Umgebung. Wir würden jederzeit wieder dort buchen.

In einem über 300 Jahre alten Haus hat die Eigentümerin 4 Appartements/Zimmer eingerichtet, ganz persönlich und individuell. Sie betreut ihre Gäste mit allen nur denkbaren Hilfestellungen. Ein (viel zu) reichhaltiges Frühstück liegt ihr ebenso am Herzen wie das allgemeine Wohlbefinden ihrer Gäste. Besser geht es nicht.

Sehr idyllisch

Das Hotel ist in jeder Hinsicht hervorragend. Das Frühstück war ein ein wunderbarer Start in den Tag und hat mit typischer Hausmannskost überrascht. Das Zimmer war sehr liebevoll eingerichtet, bis ins kleinste Detail. Es war ein sehr schöner Urlaub. Vielen Dank besonders an Elena.

Home away from home.

Peaceful village and house has a amazing location. It was easy to find and a good option of food restaurants nearby in the square. The beech was hardly 10 mins max by car which also had a good collection of restaurants specialising in fish and other sea food. Elena and Giorgio were really helpful and advised us about all the best places to see on the entire island. The highlight of the stay was the comfortable bed which had a profile mattress topper for the best sleep. I would definitely visit again.
