As I called at around 6pm on the day of arrival to arrange the check in, I was informed that they were overbooked and could not provide us with the room that we had booked. The payment was, however, already made online and I have not yet received a refund or any information about the refund (4 days later). "Unterkunft im alten Stil. War insgesamt betrachtet in Ordnung. Leider war eine Nutzung des Gartens nicht in dem Umfan möglich, wie wir es uns gewünscht hätten (keine Liegestühle). Sehr störend war, dass an zwei Tagen am Grundstück Grundwasserbohrungen vorgenommen wurden, die eine Unterhaltung unmöglich machten. Es wackelte das ganze Gebäude. Hier gab es weder ein Wort der Erläuterung, geschweige denn eine Entschuldigung. Wir mussten das Haus verlassen um dem Krach zu entfliehen. Schade...

"The apartment was beautifully appointed. The location central, but as it is on 1 of the busiest streets in Stellenbosch, there was a lot of noise at night and early hours of the morning."
