Food quality is very poor and expensive for that standard of meal. We couldn’t finish our meals due to the low quality. Menu very limited to only a handful of mains. The meals were of processed freezer food standard.

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful - we ate in the bar on the first night - tasty food and HUGE potion size. The room was large (twin beds) and both the room and bathroom were clean and well maintained - this is an old building which was part of its charm. The breakfast was continental - had everything we needed. We booked a second night which wasn't planned.

Great location for attempting The Three Peaks Challenge (hiking possible straight from the premises’ car park). Really friendly staff, attentive and very helpful. Cheap and cheerful accommodation - don’t forget that the price includes continental breakfast, which is more than generous - so a real bargain. Perhaps a small waste bin in the rooms and a hook on the back of the toilet door would help. Rooms were very clean and tidy but the Inn itself could perhaps be a little cleaner (the windows, “sticky” tables). All in all, very good for the price.

Clean room, lovely bar, nice range of drinks. Nice sunday dinner, great atmosphere, log fire bar. Breakfast was the usual cereals etc, bacon, toast, sausage was Richmond (not my preferred). Nice fresh croissants and goot drink selection I have stayed before and will stay again due to price, location, lovely romantic stay

It is a very tired guest house the photos are way better than the reality. the plant boxes we expected David Bellamy to spring out any time. The cooler for the Drinks broke down. The rooms were in principle clean but the tired décor made it feel less clean. It may be wise to reduce the room rates and not call it a Hotel.
