"the fatal flaw is barely any sound insulation between rooms so next door people are too loud. Bed is just okay and pillows are cheap junk"

"For a non-smoking room in a non-smoking hotel, the first night we were in a room that seemed to suck in the air of another room that the people were smoking non-stop in their room and it blew directly into our vents. It smelled like someone was smoking in our bathroom and then leaked into our room. Earlier in the day there was a strong smell of marijuana throughout the halls. The front desk told us there was nothing they could do to stop it. We changed rooms the next morning, with front desk hesitation - we were told that changing rooms would not solve the problem of having no smoke in our room. However, in the next room from 12am- 3am, the people in the next room were talking loudly, and even putting our TV on did not take away the fact that it sounds like the people were right in our room talking. Front desk staff said they could not do anything. (folks in the next room also ignored knocks on their door and wall). "

"Staying in the Historic Inn makes the quirks fade away. We've stayed in the main house and the basement annex when we travel with our dog. The main Inn is preferable but I appreciate the dog friendly option. "

"Everything was amazing except the cleanliness. Our room had a few 'eh' moments and the pool was pretty gross. Cloudy, hair clumps floating around, and the vacuum was just on the bottom (not turned on), plugged in, with the cord on the floor outside of the pool. The floor around the pool was covered in trash and glow sticks too so maybe there was a birthday party or something that made it messier than usual"
