"The room was very nice. We were in the cedar suite. There was a king bed and also a sofa bed, in the main area. But the sofa bed was horrible. It needs a new mattress. It was really difficult to sleep. The hotel was in a great area; we could walk right into town and go shopping."
"We spent two beautiful nights in the upper lookout, toured the property, and ate breakfast and dinner prepared by Chef Eric during our stay.
Eric and Nicole have built a beautiful off-grid glamping experience. Bathrooms and showers were clean and sinks with running water were available for washing up. The yurts were clean and comfortable, with panoramic views of the valley below.
We drove a Tesla Y, which was not optimal for the climb up the hill, but it managed fine! No superchargers in Sandpoint- but if you have an adapter, the Chevy dealership 15 min away has a fast charger.
The kids loved meeting the goats, chickens, pigs, and the friendly pack of pups that keep the property free of predators.
We definitely suggest enjoying meals onsite. The farm-fresh meat and produce were delicious, the preparation was creative, and atmosphere was a cross between chefs table and dinner on a friend’s patio.
We timed our stay to attend a concert at the Festival at Sandpoint, spent the afternoon playing at Schweitzer mountain, ate pizza at The Forge (highly recommend!), and cooled off at the Sandpoint beach park.
We plan to return!"
"Great place to stay. Definitely bringing our kiddo along next time. Lodges are close together and the restaurants and shops are close by. Pool was alright. Hot tubs were a little small and the jets didn't work (even though they had a sign saying they were "automatic"). Overall would recommend. Saw a moose on the way down the mountain, so that was cool to see. Definitely will come back."
"The property and rooms were very clean. The owners were very helpful and so nice and of course we loved meeting Buzz their dog!! Will definitely be back."
"All was fine with our stay. We arrived about an hour early for check-in and our room was ready, but there was an upcharge for, checking in early so we left and came back. Not sure why we would be charge more money for checking in an hour early to our room which was already available. It’s the little things sometimes and I would probably stay somewhere else next time. I don’t usually arrive too much early at any hotel and there usually isn’t a charge to check in early if the room is available - especially since we were staying 5 days or so."
"Beautiful hotel. It’s brand new so it’s spic and span. It’s kind of in the middle of nowhere not really walkable and I upgraded to a nicer room, which was indeed very nice but overlooked a dirty parking lot that kind of ruined it. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and the community is great. Off of the back patio, which is really beautiful and I wish I would’ve been there during the evening time to have a glass of wine. Sit by the fire and enjoy the view. So I would recommend asking for a room that faces towards the back of the hotel."
"Very quiet, clean room. simple breakfast but had nice conversation with other guests, I say this in a very good way, but to me this was a very quaint communal experience. Everyone I met either with hotel staff or guests made stay very enjoyable. "
