The room was clean, bed was comfortable and the kitchenette and had everything we needed to make breakfast, including two Nespresso pods for coffee. Lots of instant also available. Plush towels were lovely. The bathroom was very basic but clean. Internet was so slow as to be unusable during our stay. Don’t know if that was typical or not. Easy walking distance to restaurants and grocery store.

Clean spacious room with parking convenient at front of room . Very friendly and accommodating staff who went the extra mile with the homemade baked cookies . Would definitely stay again and recommend. The only thing was the tv had no signal but that’s not sandbars fault .

Ideal room & nice touches

Perfect stay, rooms clean, tidy & bed comfy with great linen & duvet. The little touches of homemade cookies, welcome note and the weather for the next day with chocolates was a great touch. I have stayed in a number of places in Lakes, and this one is so far my favorite so will definitely be returning.

Such a happy, welcoming motel! From the beaming friendly staff on reception to the home made cookies in our room and the chocolates on the bed! Lots of little homely touches around the room, I especially loved the native animal pictures. We also enjoyed sitting up in the comfy bed watching complimentary Netflix on the massive tv! Had a lovely overnight stay in Sandbar hotel on route to Sydney. Friendly staff at check in and little extras like cookies, personal hand written note and little gifts to take with you were an added touch. Facilities in room were perfect and bed very comfortable for an overnight stay. Room well equipped if you want to make breakfast or light meals.

Easy to find in a good location with so many thoughtful finishing touches, including welcomes cookies and weather info for the following day. Unfortunately the weather wasn't kind to us but we still managed to walk to the beach and we will return if we come back to Australia
