Staff was very nice. Could use some deep cleaning in areas and property could use a cleanup too. Bed was comfortable, ac worked as expected. Mini fridge and microwave was a plus.

The rooms at the Rainbow Lodge are undergoing a significant upgrade. As we arrived, they were just re-hanging the door to our bathroom. Charles, the manager, does a great job of managing the work, and we were very comfortable with the accommodations. Our room was freshly painted, with new linen on the bed and blackout curtains on the windows. It also looked like we had a new microwave and minifridge. The location is close to eating areas, and a restaurant is next door. This place is a good choice if you are looking for affordable accommodation across the street from some great fishing.

No housekeeping service for 3 days, no fresh towels no cleanup no bed preparation no cleaning, no nothing!!!. Key wouldn't work in the door. No basic s like shampoo, lotion and soap was a little bar. The parking lot was so small it was drivers training just to pull out after parking. The bathroom door got stuck on the floor tiles and wouldn't fully open.

The room was not clean. The microwave did not work. The outlet in the bathroom was not a GFI. I had to find someone to provide sheets for the bed. My closet was larger than this room. The pictures are not accurate. I was shown 3 rooms and none had a coffee pot. It took an hour to check in as Charlie the manager was detained and lives 30 minutes away, even though I called ahead.

Dead bugs on the bathroom window ledge with the courtesy shampoo. Live spiders and earwigs. Shower leaked and Charlie wanted to come in and fix it. Should have been done before I got there. Arrived at check in time, had to wait 30 min for Charlie to get there. No ice machine. True flea bag motel. Run away!!

Place needs to be brought up to date. People who are given a card don't lose them then having a key. Losing a key was charged $45

All that was missing is the banjos

Although the drive was pleasant there. Once we got to our motel it was a different story. We felt like we walked into the set of the movie "Deliverance," with the only thing missing being the banjos, with what looked like outlaw bikers, a car-repair clinic in the parking lot, a pink blow up swimming pool, a dog tied to a post, a toddler running around &3 extremely large guys with big beards & stained tshirts in the parking lot. Clearly there were people living in the motel lodge while using the parking lot as their recreation area. The 'manager" (also in a greasy stained tshirt) confirmed this when asked by replying "Of course people live here, it's a lodge!" Inspite of all of this, we thought we should 'view' the room as a courtesy which had the appearance of an hourly-type room rental, and an odd chemical like odor. Not for us. We found another motel room, fortunately in spite of it being Memorial Weekend.
