This place was disgusting. The towel bar was ripped off the wall, there was a swastika painted in the bathroom, people lived in the room across from us, there was no carpet under the beds (to reduce bedbugs I assume), there were no screens on the windows, the staff was incredibly rude, I could go on and on. Do not, under ANY circumstances, stay here.
Dirty and worn out, wife wanted me to get a refund and just sleep in the truck. Yep, that nasty. I pity all that dare to stay here. It shouldn't even be offered on Hotels.com, I can't believe that they have checked it out and gave it an A-OK.
This visit was so awful, that Hotels.com refused to post my review. So now you decide, do you want to stay at a place that Hotels.com is keeping valid reviews away from?
This hotel was closing down at the end of the month and it was obvious! We checked out after 1 hour (the time it took to find another hotel) The bed linens were stained/dirty the room was dated and thread bare. We had a superior room with a pool view, the pool had garbage and lumber floating in it. I cant believe this was even on Expedia. SCARY!
As we entered the office, a growling slobbering dog with a ball in his mouth, came barreling towards my wife. She asked the senior woman behind the counter to restrain the dog, but the clerk refused and kept on stating "he just wants to play". That was our first turn off to this dirty place.
We reluctantly checked in, the room was dirty, the carpet so dirty we had to wear our socks so our feet wouldn't get dirty. There was a plastic bag tied around the smoke detector and the window locks were loose. One word to describe this place, "worn out"!
My wife wanted me to get our money back and just sleep in our SUV, but I just wanted to sleep. The chairs sunk down in the middle and the walls were dirty and full of holes. My wife and I wondered aloud, how did this place ever get on Hotels.com; it's very skanky.
I will not stay at this place again, regardless of the circumstances. Don't stay here unless you are absolutely down and out, you'll regret it.
Single paned windows, in Lake Tahoe? Cold and so much noise from the road that is 50-100 feet from the location. Invest in double paned windows! Have to leave the wall heater on all night as to not freeze. With the noise that the heater makes and the mini fridge, which sits on the dresser, ear plugs are required. People smoking in the hallways, smoking & non smoking rooms based on if you're a smoker or not, smoke is everywhere, this place needs to be in the back woods of middle America. I bet they would do much better there than a great place like Lake Tahoe.

What you pay for
This Inn is not nice. It smells like smoke throughout and is not very clean. It is what you pay for though, a bed, nice staff, and a place to keep your stuff. I would recommend to those who do not mind the smell or the lack of amenities. Staff was fantastic and room was cheap.
The hotel was scary. I think the receptionist was high when I checked in. There was shattered glass from car break-ins on three of the ten or so inner parking spots. I was on floor one, half under ground room, and didn't feel safe. The carpets were disgusting and the sheets had hairs and little black particles all over them. The pillows were of similar dirtiness. It was nice and quiet. Lake Tahoe was very close by.

Good value for the price
Not open for check-in after 11pm, which is not stated on the reservation. For this reason this hotel isn't the best place to stay if you are coming up to Tahoe after work on Friday because it is very likely you will not be able to get there before the office closes.
The Mellow Fellow across the street is an awesome place to grab your selection of great beers and locally made brats. The hotel… Its a roof over your head and nothing more, not sure how it would be if heat was needed. Smells like heavy cigs in non-smoking rooms.
There was a huge dog that greeted us when we walked in the lobby, so it is a very pet friendly hotel. However, once we got into the room, we had to choose between the bed filled with bugs, or the bed with broken springs. We heard arguing, a lot of cursing, and things being thrown In the room next to us. Scared that we were witnessing domestic violence, I almost called the police and my boyfriend asked me if I wanted to check out early. Luckily, other people passing by were able to get help before us. Seconds after the dispute, we received a crank phone call thinking it was probably the front desk checking in on us or apologizing and verified this after calling back the front desk. Being in an uncomfortable position, one would think the hotel staff would have come to check on us, or address the scary behavior, but no such action was taken. There wasn't any security here and my boyfriend thinks the crank call might've been people sweeping rooms to see who was/wasn't in their rooms. we r easy to please, but little efforts make such a big difference likeFinding a little hotel shampoo, but instead we felt almost like we had been camping. Sad to say, we will not be staying again. But we will be back to Tahoe/Kings Beach!

Fair price
Fair price. The room is old, but nice. There is no frigobar/fridge in the room.
The hotel has obviously seen better days. The heat worked. The water worked.
The furnishings and carpet need updating.
You are paying for the location right on stateline. And a roof over your head.
was horrible- the dirtiest place I have ever been...the blanket was spotted all over and disgusting- I just wrote a long yelp review- others had that experience- look at the yelp review...
but stay away- really really disgusting....
The hotel did not even have a way to lock the back sliding glass door . We had to pray nobody stole anything from the room while we were out since there was no way of locking our room up. Also the heater was so noisy and kept kicking on even when we turned it off. The walls were thin and we could hear the people next door fighting the whole night. I will never stay there again.

Great price, clean hotel
This is a great hotel if your looking for a place to rest while your out during the day. Nothing too fancy, but its clean and comfortable:)
Hotel was trashed. the lady in the office was more worried about her dogs than the customers. and there is no one in the office after regular business hours, and no number to call if you need anything.

This is a great basic hotel. Its nothing fancy.
The staff are very nice and friendly. My daughter got to pet the dogs and loved that. One pizza delivery place that closed at 7p. Fairly close to Northstar ski village.
beds are really uncomfortable, walls so thin that you could hear the people in the next room breath, and halways smelled of smoke and other unnamed odor.. needs major remodel.
Service was awful.. they tried to open our room without letting us know so our children got freaked out so did we.. we found garbage under the beds and WiFi was awful.. would not stay here again.

Good choice for inexpensive lodging
We booked this motel in order to arrive a day early for our ultimate destination at the south end of Lake Tahoe. The pricing is right for a short-term stay. The proximity of the motel to local dining is good. The property itself is beginning to show some age but the rooms were clean.
