"I had avoided La Quinta Inns due to some bad experiences many years ago. I'm happy to say that a couple of very good stays, including the Sweetwater La Quinta, have convinced me that Wyndham has corrected those past shortcomings.
The Sweetwater La Quinta was clean and bright, with quiet, comfortable, spacious, nicely appointed rooms. The breakfast was a good, hot buffet with plenty with plenty of choices. Both the front desk and the buffet staff were friendly, cheerful and helpful. Ample free parking was available.
The location on I-20 was convenient, but the selection of nearby restaurants is a bit limited. Try a local family restaurant called Skeet's about one-half mile west of the hotel on the same access road. It's a simple looking place and *very* popular with the locals. It has lots of home style meals at great prices."
