6.8/10 (2,123 reviews)
The only saving grace of this hotel is its close proximity to New York time square. The lobby furniture needs replacing. The room we were in the curtain was in real bad shape. There was no writing desk in the room. We had to request bath towels. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Price does not match the poor quality of the hotel,

Great location, great staff, but our room felt like it needed some tlc. We had booked a signature room so was expecting something a little better. I am not sure if booking through Hotels.com made a difference because we have had much nicer rooms booking directly.

Very clean rooms and lobby. Also, I enjoyed relaxing & reading in the vintage-themed library/lounge, located beyond the check-in desk. I highly recommend the Hotel St. James, and I look forward to staying here again in the future!
