"On cheiin we were given a room in the annex as booked a standard room but we're not happy with it as felt exposed with no blinds or net curtains. We asked if we could have another room and the receptionist moved us, to an upgraded room we think, with no fuss at all, she was very helpful and understanding. We ate in Restaurant Ellen on Saturday night which, although quite expensive, was a real treat. All staff were truly excellent. Our only gripe was that we were not aware the bar and restaurant was closed on Sundays until the evening. The restaurant menu was still on a stand in the entrance indicating it was open. The helpful receptionist suggested a couple of places in town and we enjoyed a meal there. We did not find any shops/cafés open in the morning apart from petrol garage shop. Would highly recommend we had a great stay in a beautiful location with lake view and walk."

"Very clean rooms/property and fantastic breakfast with fresh-squeezed orange juice and 2 coffee stations, not to mention the wide variety of hot foods and fresh fruit, etc. The staff were always polite and very helpful, and definitely went the extra mile when I asked midday if they had some leftover bread from breakfast that I could buy to take on a spontaneous hike with my kids. After a couple minutes she came out from the kitchen with ham and cheese sandwiches for me and my children and wished us well on our hike! And she didn’t even charge me for them! I was so touched by the kind gesture! Above and beyond service!"

"Though we went there on a day where the sky was overcast and dreary..it contrasted very well with the next day when the weather took a turn for the better. Pity though we thought we could see something in the waters but not much..just a bird or 2 dipping into the water for a fish. It can be quite private though moving of luggage was impossible with the flight of stairs. The unit next to us could see us but we could draw the blinds if we wanted. Though small, it's still pretty nice and I was glad to experience a night there. I could imagine if it was towards the end of the year when northern lights was in play, the experience would be awesome."

"1) Great breakfast 2) Dinner was included, and even though we walked down the street to a nearby restaurant, we stopped by when we came back and had waffles (Norwegian style)for dessert, very nice thank you. 3) terrific value, we would definitely stay here again."
