The people are what truly make a place. I am endlessly fascinated by the idea that everyone is living a life I will never know about, and only if I'm lucky will I discover a small fraction of their story.
We were completely mesmerized by this sea of pelicans in Lake Manyara National Park. There were tens of thousands of them clustered together at the edge of the lake. We just sat and watched them for well over an hour. If only a photo could replicate the sounds these impressive birds were making!
