Not only is Hokitika is a lovely little town to visit and stay. There are plenty of walks in the area and a small drive away is Hokitika Gorge. It is a lovely, little walk around this amazing turquoise gorge. There's a fun suspension bridge and plenty of birdlife around making it a rather magical experience.
