  • Lake George Steamboat Company offers a variety of tours and tour lengths on three different boats. This is the Mohican, their largest. The trip was about 2.5 hours, cost about $23 per person and traveled from the southern point of the lake to about half way north. There is a snack bar but I did not visit it. There is commentary talking about the history of the lake, area and some of the houses. It was a very relaxing and pleasant way to spend the afternoon.

Terrific stay

I enjoyed a terrific stay there! The staff was super-helpful and friendly. The cabin was very nice and well-furnished. Each site had a campfire pit. The pool was small, but refreshing on the hot afternoons. I strongly recommend Bears Den.

Cute little rustic cabins. Bathrooms need updating. Had leaky pipes under the bathroom sink and was fixed almost immediately after reporting to housekeeping. Owner very friendly and did everything in his power to make it a great stay. Would stay here again.

BEST CABIN IN LAKE GEORGE!

if i could give it 10 stars i would!! my husband and i are staying here for a long weekend for our one year wedding anniversary. we were nervous to bring our dog but this place couldnt be more perfect and our pup mya is having a ball! the owners are absolutely wonderful and accomodating! We will be coming back year after year!!

Each Cabin had there own everything! Fire pit, picnic table,broom. The place was clean inside and out ! You do need to bring pots,pans and all cooking needs. There a a playground for kiddos, swimming pool is very clean! We will be back next year!

We checked in and had some issues with our cabin the first night. We went to Dan the following morning and without reservation he gave us an upgrade to another csbin and did not charge us for that first night. Dan and family were attentive to the guests and continually checked in to make sure we were having an amazing stay. Awesome job and thank you.

It was amazing! It is a family owned property that was perfect for our stay. We were there for Americade. The cabins are perfect for the needs especially if you are looking for outdoorsy environment with the Comforts of a cabin. It is a cozy piece of property minutes away from Lake George Village and the lake. There's a lot of activities and easy to get around. They are extremely accommodating wonderful people and the cabins are really cute. We've stayed there twice and each time we just feel like part of the family. Everyone is really nice there I would definitely absolutely recommend

Nice clean rooms, beams on the ceiling. Staff very helpful and friendly. Each cabin has a grill and firepit. Our cabin was a bit small, but we would stay there again if ever back this way.

Amazing place for a family break!

Amazing place. Dan and the team where so nice and helpful and the location and setup is perfect. We ended up staying another night just so my son (who was on a camp) got to see it for himself. Highly recommend!

It's a great cross between camping but not going without some amenities. Well worth the stay. Staff is friendly, helpful, and they go the extra mile for their customers. Cabins are everything you expect and more. A very family friendly environment and property is well taken care of. I couldnt be anymore happier about staying here. Id recommend this place for anyone looking to get away and visist the Lake George area. My family and I are already planning out our next visit here again.

Property and area around is very nice.In woods we always found enough wood for campfire. Everything was amazing.Deny owner and his stuff was very friendly.Just one thing one thing it could be changed and that was the mattress replaced. We still woke up in the morning with back pain.Thanks for beautiful week.

My family and I (2 adults, 1 toddler and a dog!) all loved The Bear’s Den! It was absolutely wonderful, the cabins are the perfect size for families and include everything one would need. Everything was very clean along with the pool which was an awesome addition to this place. We will be back ASAP!
