The Cove is definitely close to the lake, shopping, restaurants, and events….which is a BIG plus. However, we had a terrible time finding our room as the woman at the front desk just told us to go to the end of the building and look for entrance 4. The end of the building does not have an entrance 4.. it goes from 3 to 5. Turns out that you have to go under the viaduct at the end of the building…and go to the back. Entrance 4 was recessed at the back of the building, and had no awning above it like the other entrances . She also did not tell us we had to use an elevator or walk down a flight of stairs to find our room. All of this should have been explained to us when we were handed our key cards. Our room was clean, but definitely outdated… The toilet ran and you had to pull up on the lever to get it to stop. Iron needs to replaced.. old and dirty. If I would return to Lake Geneva, I may return to The Cove, but would definitely ask for an updated room that’s close to the front desk. .

Unfortunately, our experience did not meet the expectations set by the photos and descriptions provided online. Apparently each unit is privately owned?? While the room layout was acceptable, the overall condition was extremely dated. The appliances were old and poorly maintained—most notably, the microwave handle fell off when we attempted to use it, clearly having been patched together previously. Additionally, our room was located far from the pool and lobby. Under normal circumstances, this might not have been an issue, but we were traveling with two young children, an elderly guest, and another who required assistance with a cane. The distance made it difficult for us to fully enjoy the amenities. On the second day of our stay, we requested a room change after noticing that other rooms appeared to be more modern and much better maintained. We were told that no rooms of our originally requested style were available. The front desk staff also mentioned that we had booked through Expedia, though it was unclear why that was relevant to our request. Regardless of the booking platform, we paid for accommodations that did not match what was advertised. Management did not try to contact me at all during the stay even though they knew we were unsatisfied. We called front desk and wrote our “virtual assistant”. When we finally got a hold of mgt they offered discount on future stay… no thanks.

Being so close to everything downtown is an absolute bonus!! Unfortunately the majority of downtown shops seemed to have all closed before 8pm on a weekday during the Summer. The staff were helpful and polite. The main areas of the property were updated. Unfortunately, the air conditioning does not work in the hallways, or was not working during our entire stay. The room itself was not updated and my reason for not an excellent review. When booking, it said updated suites and showed pictures of nice updated units. Sadly, our unit had not been updated with the exception of vinyl plank flooring. The single couch in the unit only had support due to the pull out portion. The single matching chair in the family room, had little to no support. When you sat in it, your hips were below your knees. I would stay at the resort again but I would not stay in Unit 403 again.

I couldn’t say Quiet. All 3 nights we had kids running the hallways after 11. Complained and nothing happened until on the third night we had to open our door and yell at the .First and second night also happened at midnight and 2 am

The hotel checked us in early. We got our parking pass and pool access before our room was ready. Our room was redone recently and even had tags still on the furniture. They should have updated the tubs and appliances. Everyone was pretty friendly.
