Great property. Beachy luxury. Rooms are simple but have a great vibe. Can’t beat the location. Staff was very nice and helpful. This is definitely a beach hotel and not new and glitzy. Super comfortable though and the bed was great.

The older rooms are not pictured on the Expedia site or the hotel site. Our room was not what I thought we booked. It was old, worn with torn carpet. The staff was nice and waived some fees but the nice rooms were sold out so we couldn’t move. We felt very mislead.

It's right on the beach which is great. I personally think the hotel is in need of serious updating. The restaurant The Deck is great. Food & view are great. I've stayed here a couple of times but will probably be my last because even though I pay for a oceanfront room they seem to always stick us in the one building without an elevator. Just an fyi they have phones in the room that do not work. Text is the way to always communicate with the front desk which is fine but the front desk should make you aware of this when you are checking in. Also, maybe take the phones out of the rooms because they do not work which would be less confusing for people.

The staff was nice, check-in was seamless, and the room was clean, the sheets were clean. I slept well, the front desk added a bottle of complementary wine to my stay, which was very nice of them. Overall, this is a nice place to stay if you wanna be centrally located and have easy access to the beach.

We booked a suite with balcony thinking since it was on the beach we would have some view of the ocean. The view was the parking lot and valet attendant tent. Luckily we could upgrade to ocean view. The room was clean but old: had peeling paint on moulding and rusty metal hinges and deteriorating balcony. Very old and worn out property but right on the beach.

Unfortunately Expedia overbooked our reservation and we were downgraded from an ocean view to a street view with smaller beds and room size. But the front desk was gracious enough to reduce our room fee and give us a restaurant credit and free parking too. The hotel was in a great location and the hotel staff was excellent. Thank you Pacific Edge Hotel for making our stay comfortable.

Such an amazing property right in the heart of downtown Laguna Beach and on the sand. The standard room without an ocean vuew is quite expensive though for what it is and there is resort fees plus an extra 40 dollars to park your car in valet. Luckily I had a small credit from expedia to put towards the cost or I woulbt have probably not stayed there

Pros: Great location and amazing views with perfect beach front access. The hotel has lounge chairs and umbrellas set up for guests so all you have to do is walk down and relax. Watched the sunset each night and got treated to a large pod of dolphins super close to shore. Snacks and drinks in room for fee. Clean bed and floors. Only cons: while the rooms have been updated fairly well, the bathrooms could use some help, chipped mirror, etc. Beds were a bit hard. Weirdly got woken up in the morning with manager and a fire inspector demanding to come in our room. We weren’t dressed and we had to get out of bed and dressed for them to come in. Seemed odd. Parking is 45$ per night. With that said, would stay again for the location.

Worst place ever. In my opinion sleeping in a tent on the street peobably much cleaner. The plumbing went out and after spending Half of the night they're trying to fix it.They moved me to another room. I left my wallet in the prior room and when I asked for it, nobody seen it.I spent the week asking for it. They said no one seen it. They were just being lazy. Now more than a week after I checked out and after requesting a replacement for all my cards and Licenses, one rude manager call and tell me it's been on his desk. Very rude people and a very bad place.

The premier rooms do not have a “shared balcony” they are hallways in front of the rooms with a partial view of the ocean which everyone has access to because it’s just the hallway to get to your room. Our window inside the room was broken closed and the snacks in the room were literally half eaten. We enjoyed the beach access and comfortable bed.

The property was run down and not well kept. Rooms had burnt out sockets, AC/heat not working, several bugs crawling in the room. Beds were not comfortable, barely any water pressure, shower wouldn't stay hot consistently. There was a thin wood door separating us from room next door. You could hear every conversation being had. House keeping knocked on door at 9:30, 1.5 hours before checkout. The place smelled like an ash tray at check in. Parking was crappy. Need I go on? Don't stay here.

We have stayed at Pacific Edge before and had a great experience. This time was not as pleasant. The room didn’t seem very clean and very run down looking. Walls were so thin we could hear every noise in the roomsnext door. Unfortunately, this will probably be my last visit to this hote.

Rooms are very outdated and original furniture from when the property was built in the 50s or 60s. Rooms in the old building were not clean with a dirt ring in the bathtub. The worst part about the stay is the multiple bugs crawling around in the room. The front desk was obvious with knowing their rooms have bugs "roach like" crawling around in their rooms & didn't dispute, argue or question when I called to report my concern & disgust with the room condition and bugs. I will NEVER stay here ever again.

Beach views were awesome 👌 and restaurants and shopping was within walking distance. What i didnt like was when i was taking a shower the tub was filling up with water need to unclog the drains. And when I go to order room service the phone didn't work. And one valet driver was rude the others were nice.

Not like the pictures online
Staff was friendly. $45 to park even for guests, room looked nothing like pictures. Bad smell in room, very dated with dirty looking carpet and broken tiles, cabinets and drawers falling off in kitchen and bathroom. Would have been understandable if the pictures on the websites represented the actual look of the room, but all the pictures show modern clean rooms, room looks like it hasn’t been updated or repaired since the late 80s- early 90s. Wish i took pictures.

They gave my room away and was put in a different room they tried to make it up with comping valet and 60$ credit to the deck but the main reason I booked here was due to the view and I was looking forward to having the room I paid for but instead I got moved to a different view. Staff was nice. Just the fact that they changed my room ruined my whole weekend.

Everyone was amazing! The view was so breathtaking! Valet was no hassle everyone there was amazing and very helpful. Definitely coming back !
