We loved staying at Uma Casa a Beira Sol. You cannot beat the location for access to the beaches and boardwalk along the water. Was incredibly beautiful. Easy walk to downtown also which was so lively and beautiful. Great shopping and restaurants. The hotel itself was so charming filled with gardens and spots to relax. Interior of rooms also so quaint, like a little cottage. Just beautiful. We'd love to come back.

This is a garden style, boutique property with an old world charm including shutters at the windows and doors. Each room is unique and situated with reasonable privacy to other units. The landscaping is breathtaking and immaculately maintained. The area is hilly and there are some dilapidated properties nearby that take away from the overall charm of the landscape which is exceptional. There is an extensive boardwalk and beach access walkable from the property but the elevation required some effort to get around. The staff puts a lot of effort into making your stay relaxed and problem free. Our only concern was the bathroom mirror in our unit was tucked into a corner and there was limited space for toiletries but that may be specific to the unit we rented. The pool is wonderful but cold. Great for cooling off but you have to want it.

My husband and I stayed at Uma Casa à Beira Sol for our 10-year anniversary, and it was absolutely perfect. The property is stunning, beautifully maintained, and full of charm. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome right from the start. Its location couldn’t be better — just a short walk to some of the most beautiful beaches, within walking distance to Old Town Lagos, and close to great restaurants and grocery stores. We always felt very safe exploring the area, even at night. We had an unforgettable stay and can’t wait to return in the future!

The most beautiful little hotel with lovely gardens, near the Dona Ana beach. There are only 15 rooms. The staff is excellent: Summer and Anaïs and Alexandra took excellent care of us. A very nice breakfast was served to us each morning on the patio outside our room.

We had the best stay ever at Uma Casa à Beira Sol! This hotel is truly a hidden gem in Lagos. The hotel is located a 15-20 min walk outside of the old town and a 5 min walk from Praia Dona Ana. The hotel feels homey and private and the garden is truly amazing. I The room we stayed in was full of character and had everything we needed. It was on the ground floor and we had our own little patio. The room was very clean. The breakfast had everything we could ask for - bread, cheeses, eggs, yogurt, fruit, and the highlight - a pastel de nata to end the meal. I loved how everything was served at the table. All in all, Uma Casa à Beira Sol is the perfect accomodation if you want a quiet and relaxing place with a homey feel for your Lagos vacation. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit Lagos!

I loved my stay here. Every staff member was friendly and accommodating. The entire property was so peaceful and relaxing with birdsong by day, an amazing pool for cooling off/swims, and one of the most fantastic breakfasts (with killer coffee btw) I've ever had. I had to take part of it back to my room with me for lunch - because it was huge! My room had an ocean view and terrace and it was so lovely to have the ocean breeze coming in throughout what felt like my own little casita. Shower was hot, bed was comfortable, AC cranked immediately after a particularly rigorous walk along the Ponte de Piedade in direct sun. Perfect :) Highly recommend.

Wonderful Relaxing Vibe

This is a beautiful boutique hotel with a bohemian vibe. The property is quaint with several outside sitting areas. Rooms all have an outdoor sitting area too. It’s a 10 minute walk to the city centre wall and there’s a beautiful walking trail along the water. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included with our room (not included with the apartments) and it was plentiful. Definitely recommend this hotel for a quiet retreat away from hectic life styles.

Great location - super close to the main beaches, viewpoints and Old Lagos. Friendly staff - the reception and housekeeping staff were all professional and helpful We loved the rustic and unique touches of the property. We wanted something that wasn’t a resort and this fit the bill. The only negative was that the wifi was a bit spotty at times.
