Today I had my annual reminder just how beautiful change can be ☀️❤ It's one of my favorite times of the year. It reminds me to lay down all those expectations I've been lugging around of what life is supposed to look like, and am shown how beautiful the journey is when I take a minute to look at the 360° view - not just the path that was man made by..well, me.
So often we select a destination that we are determined to get to, and by default, expectations of what that all will look like along the way. And when those pieces don't fall into place after our meticulously laid plans? We're disappointed. We don't want to sit in the ambiguity of it all. So we force answers for the sake of having answers. We become the thief of our own joy.
This week, look around. What beauty has been going unnoticed because it wasn't a part of your original map? Be without answers. Embrace all that is shifting. Let go of what was and accept what is. At 12,000 feet this ridge is overlooks Moab and the vally below where the Colorado river has carved its way through the soft sandstone. We brought our skis to summit Little Tukuhnikivatz and ski the 4000 vertical feet down to the yurt we stayed at below. This was in March when the mountains are cold and the desert is warm, perfect for multi-sport days.
