• Understand what, if any, rules or restrictions apply to both your destination and origin. You may not be able to travel depending on local circumstances, so remember to check before you lock something in.
• Requirements state that you must wear a face mask throughout your travel experience, including at security checkpoints. Be ready to adjust your mask for identification purposes when asked by a TSA employee.
• Rather than handing a TSA officer your boarding pass, place it straight on the scanner yourself. When that's done, hold it up for inspection.
• TSA is now allowing passengers to take one container of hand sanitizer, up to 12 oz (350 ml) in size, in carry-on bags. This will have to be removed from your bag at the X-ray machine for scanning.

• Separate any food you have for screening. Food items often set off the alarm. Placing them in a clear plastic bag and into a bin reduces the need for a TSA agent to handle and inspect your belongings.
