「Upon entering my room, there was a mildew locker room odor and I went back to the lobby to ask for a new room and the staff was very flexible and accommodating to put me in a new room which smelled much cleaner.」

「Everyone was so helpful. We arrived a day early and they gave us the same room that was reserved for our 3 day stay. We were very pleased with our entire stay.」

「Nice and clean, I felt very secure knowing I have to use a badge just to get in the building. The continental breakfast was great! Ice machines available nearby. Even though the casino is connected limited hours even though I was told that it was recently purchased. As far as the casino I didn't sit and gamble. Even though I'm a former smoker there is a sign stating no cigar or pipe tobacco but I did see 4 people smoking cigarettes」

「In-room air conditioning was noisy and constantly kept me away. Smoke detector in room was not attached to ceiling and hanging by electrical wire. Wall paper in bathroom was curling and exposed moldy walls. Bed was heavily concave, adding to the lack of sleep, in addition to causing chest and back pain in the morning. No "do not disturb" door hanger was provided, so house keeping walked in while catching up on lack of sleep. Only positives are that it is more North, so general noise from town...

「When we arrived it was about 10:30 at night our first room smelled so bad we couldn't stay in it we asked if there was another room which the staff was very helpful with and got us another room. Unfortunately the second room the AC barely worked and went kicked on it was incredibly loud. Most likely the AC wasn't able to keep up so the whole room smelled damp as well. We would have gone somewhere else had there been any other options. The hot tub is also boarded over just as an FYI.」

「The room was clean. It had been recently refreshed with new decor. Either the nextdoor guest or previous guest had smoked in the bathroom. The owner was very helpful in trying to clear out the smell. For the price I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and nice it was. It looks to be family owned and they are going through and remodeling/refreshing each room. Air conditioning was fabulous. Beds are comfy and linens were fresh and clean.」

「The floor had dead bugs on it, the treadmill mill wasn't working and the breakfast selection wasn't very good. The "hot food" sausage and gravy was cold and the orange juice didnt have any flavor to it.」

「I first want to say the owners are very nice. I do think they wanted us to feel comfortable and welcome. The house is old and beautiful, my curiosity of growing up near this property made me want to stay here instead of Hampton Inn. The access to the living and dining room was appealing because my family still lives in keokuk and we don’t have anywhere big enough to relax and visit together.
