Not much of a town, from the tourist point of view. Views marred by the acres of plastic sheathed banana greenhouses. Porto de Aldea is small and pretty. Drive up to Arternara was amazing, though a bit hair-raising at moments.






I stayed for three nights and had a very pleasant experience. The staff was warm, courteous, and extremely helpful — thank you again for assisting me in finding an EU power adapter. This was our second stay. Great weather, clean facility, lots of lounge chairs. Housekeeping did a very good job cleaning our rooms. The Spar mini market had everything we needed for our few days stay. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Hotel is obsessed with charging for everything and in many cases things that ought to be complimentary. Dish washing liquid and cloth €4.5; one coffee pod €1.90; bottle of water €4, etc. The fridge was full of more drink than the usual mini fridge.
