The hotel is well located close to the intersection of the two subway lines in Kyoto. The rooms are very clean. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Medium sized property, reasonably priced, and in a good central location. Very clean. Comfortable beds and adequate size rooms. The “Public Bath” is a large hot tub. Very clean and relaxing after a long day. Breakfast was fine but expensive at $30pp for scrambled eggs, toast, two bites of cut fruit and coffee. After the first morning we we had breakfast at a lovely boulangerie just 2-3 blocks east of the hotel. The evening lounge with free wine, beer, alcohol, and soft drinks was a nice treat. The hotel is located just steps to the subway entrance. You can also easily get a cab when you need one.

The best hotel I stayed in while I was in Japan (stayed in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka). This hotel felt like luxury! Free snacks, drinks, and appetizers and hotel was gorgeous! I loved our room and wished we stayed longer. It was super convenient to get to any destination in Kyoto since the subway and bus station are within a block.

Royal Park iconic, Kyoto is located in central Kyoto approximately 12 min ride to Kyoto station. if you book a premium room, you get free lounge access with snack and drinks every day you stay there. service from the hotel staff is impeccable. great location and highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Kyoto.

Had a wonderful stay at the Royal Park Kyoto! The staff was super helpful, and the access to bites and beverages at most hours of the day is such a wonderful addition. Vanity amenities were great, pajamas provided were super soft, and the location was very central for our stay. Room was super modern, clean and spacious. We loved our experience!

From the moment the staff reached out as we were running late, till the moment we checked out, we felt incredibly welcomed. I’m heavily tattooed (like head, hands, throat, etc), and we were allowed to use the onsen which is open till 1:00 AM. Super close to Karasuma Oike (like 100 yards), so you can take a train to basically anywhere with a transfer. Cannot recommend this place enough, and I’ve stayed in Japan before.

Lovely stay at the Royal Park Hotel, got a room upgrade and it was very comfy and lovely big bed. The lounge access was included for afternoon tea and even drinks. Would recommend staying there, very close to public transport

The hotel looks new and clean. The room was spacious for 3 pax. The location was near the subway very convenient but not much eatery nearby. The hotbath was a bonus after a whole day of walking. Will recommend.

Great hotel in Kyoto
Great hotel in a really good location, close enough to attractions but not in the really touristy area. The hotel was modern, well designed and really comfortable. The staff were really nice and helpful, despite limited English in most cases. Scrupulously clean. The restaurant was a bit pricey, but there are lots of restaurants in the area. The first floor bar and barman were great.Best Negronis we ever tasted! We would certainly come back

Love the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms. Modern and new design. Amenities are superb. Love the all day access lounge, public bath and even had meditation and tea room. Only downside is location slightly far from main area, had to do abit of walking. But the overall experience is really good.

The staff, service, and facilities at the Royal Park Iconic are some of the best I’ve ever stayed at— everyone was incredibly welcoming and helpful, the common areas and rooms are beautiful, and it’s less than a 5 minute walk from the train station. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Amazing hotel and staff
This was one of the most comfortable hotels in which we’ve ever stayed. Spacious bathroom area, good bed, sufficient storage space, and good lighting. The front desk staff and lounge staff were friendly, polite, and helpful. The location was perfect; less than a block from the subway and a short walk to a dozen restaurants. I would give it an 11/10 if it were possible.
