I really had more expectations for this property, The building is amazing! nestled in stunning Japanese landscapes.
Fist of all , I want to mention , that I contact the hotel 3 weeks earlier to make reservation for 3 restaurants during my stay , and for booking a spanish city tour in Kyoto. I spoke with Yuki, very nice man , who told me to send the information by mail and he will answer "As soon as possible"
Immediately when I send the mail , I receive a response from the concierge department mentioning they are busy and will receive an answer within the next 44 hours, however 4 day passed with any notice.
I called back to the hotel , and told , I will get an answer soon.
I received an email from the concierge confirming the reservations, including restaurants and tours,
I called again to re- confirm everything, and told by Nao, and Francisca, that everything was arranged according to my mail and everything was confirmed.
It was very disappointing to arrive to my first reserved restaurant and noted that it was closed till next month. (Did I mention We are from México travelled 15 hours , with my 92 year old mother?).
When I calmed the concierge hostess she mention that an E-mail was sent to me explaining the situation , and they were very sorry.
They ask for my itinerary to make sure my other reservations were confirmed, unfortunately, they lost our printed itinerary.
It was not the service, professionalism, and formalism we expected.
