There is a big difference, in many ways, between the rooms with two small beds and the ones with one larger bed. Pay the extra $5, it's completely worth it. Classy hotel keeping up standards during difficult times in Ukraine. Extremely safe and quiet, with a killer view and 5 min. walk to the Metro. The lady who works the desk in daytime most weekdays was particularly helpful.

Гостиница старая и не совсем обновленная. Расположение - центровое, центр Киева в пешей доступности. Обслуживание на ресепшн и в столовой - высочайшее и чуткое. Вид из окна - очень красивый.

Location and view were great. Dirty room, no internet for the whole stay, broken Safe, very loud bathroom fan, very old ugly furniture, small room, bathroom from the eighties.

Rundown and old Soviet style. Bed was terrible, wobbly and mattress (if you can call it that) had springs pushing everywhere. Shower is so narrow, I could hardly wash myself, also shower head is not working just a single jet of water. Internet and WiFi is non existent, staff said they’ll check but never fixed, speed of less than 1 mps. Not worth the money I paid to stay in this hole. Recommend other to keep looking for alternative accommodation.

Pleasunt but needs work

Room small and compact , resturant and bar was closed , no room service , I put my clothing in laundry bag wasnt removed to be washed , breakfast wasnt the level you expect at an hotel . Its a nice hotel in decour and view but needs work

Hotel bien positionné dans la ville. État des salles de bain pas en très bon état. Les rideaux de fenêtres ne permettent pas de bloquer la lumière extérieure. Bref ce n'est pas vraiment un quatre étoiles mais c'est satisfaisant pour le prix.

Not a great experience

This hotel has a nice foyer and ground floor facilities but the rooms are old and tired, and generally unclean. During my stay the room was only tidied each day and not completely cleaned. The hotel staff were friendly but not so willing to go out of their way to help guests.

This hotel is an ambiguous one. Location- wise it’s great - 2min walk to parliament, 20 min to St Sophia cathedral or (going in the other direction) Percheska Lavra. I didn’t use bus or metro but it was also nearby. The style is soviet. I can forgive that. But the cleaners don’t seem to clean anything. There we’re old cigarette butts in the balcony and a disproportionate amount of black mould in the shower. Really nasty. The bed wasn’t comfortable. There was only one pillow. The air con worked well but the safe didn’t. Breakfast was really bad, and I am normally quite easy going. The price was only like £35 per night for two people, so of course we weren’t expecting the world. But come on! Give over! Use some bleach in the shower sometimes, clean the terrace, it isn’t difficult. The pictures of the gym were quite misleading. The gym was awful! So too were the pictures of the room. They weren’t nice. Staff barely spoke English, and the taxi they booked to pick us up from the airport didn’t have seatbelts. All the other taxis we used in Kiev did. On our return they didn’t think to ask me what airline I was flying - it turned out I had to go to a completely different terminal upon being dropped off at the main international terminal, had to pay eur10 for a taxi (because the shuttle is incredibly slow) and this was another example of very bad customer service. So overall poor, and if in Kiev again I wouldn’t return. In all, I don’t recommend it.
